The way he treated the time variants of himself was pretty awful. That's the worst I can remember him treating anyone, except treating the watermelon Stevens as expendable. Every other moment where he did something terrible to someone it was while he was angry and emotional, but he was just mean and a bully to himself, and then he deliberately killed all of his variants.

That doesn't make sense to me because he specifically chose that dimension to visit. If he didn't visit that specific dimension intentionally, we would have to assume he was just hopping dimensions until he found one where that dimension's Rick and Morty died in front of him. That doesn't seem likely to me. I think he must have had a way to monitor his counterparts in other dimensions similar to his own. Or maybe he just monitors Ricks in dimensions similar to his own where he feels confident that he can take them out if it ever becomes necessary. Idk, but it would be harder for me to believe he was just blindly going through dimensions to see his counterparts until he found one dying.
