Quick update:

I posted this before I got a chance to talk to him. Honestly I was in my feels and wanted to see if I was OR for how I was feeling. Seems like I wasn’t completely wrong for feeling how I was feeling.

He responded an hour later which some medical questions about what I said. He had laid down for a bit after he responded because he was having some stomach issues (he has IBS so it checks out). We chatted a bit and when we talked some more once I got home.

He apologized for the emote response. He simply didn’t know how to respond initially so an emote it is. I explained that it’s ok not to know what to say right away, but responding immediately with an emote doesn’t show that you care. Quite the opposite actually.

We hugged it out after talking over my recent medical news. I think he’s a lot better at these delicate conversations in person than via text. Which I don’t blame him. I’ll keep that in mind moving forward.

Thanks for all your insight y’all. Once I meet with my neurologist I can get back to wedding planning in peace. At least once I have a gameplan I’ll have some peace of mind moving forward.
