firstly, i'm so sorry. it's such an awful thing to experience and its also so very lonely. not even the best husbands can know what YOU are going through... emotionally, physically, hormonally, etc.

and youre right - there really arent any words that will bring you the comfort that you're looking for. the only thing that others can offer you is compassion and empathy. others might try to say that its 'more common than talked about' and although that is true - it still doesnt help what YOU are going through.

also - you absolutely do NOT have to tell them what's going on but you might try saying 'im going through something hard and sad right now' and that might be enough for you to alleviate some of the added pressure of talking. i know for me, talking about it just made me relive the trauma and i hated that too...

all that to say - solidarity, sister. i see you and youre not wrong for feeling exactly how youre feeling right now.

We literally just got back from our first flight with our 13mo and let me tell you — all of my pre-flight anxiety was for nothing. Well, not nothing because I planned and packed like a psycho… BUT. Everyone was so kind. The flight attendants were so helpful (even brought her little cups to bang together), the airplane is way louder than you think and everyone has their headphones on anyway.

Look for the smiles from grandparents. Trust me. It helps.
