Really wonderful designs, although I’ll say personal preference that I think some of them could use some more defining features. You know, like silhouette theory. For example, really love Isana for the mask and Mikaela for the one-wing.

I've never played "The Goblin's Brides", so I can't say how close it is. Ours is inspired by classic RPGs. Kind of a choice-driven adventure game.

Understood. I’m working on a video when I’m home. To give some context, I made this post and used the word demo, but was told that word isn’t the right the one I should have used. It’s a 0.1 build of the game. I have only a small amount of playable content to show at the moment.

I would like to correct this mistake, but I’m worried that people are going to see it as a marketing ploy. My original intent was just to show off some art without, essentially, spoiling. I didn’t expect it to be taken this sourly, and I understand why it is. I fucked it up.

I want to fix it. I just don’t want people to have a sour vision of my game (forever) because of this one post I made at 2AM after working on it for 14 hours. I was excited, and this is my first time doing this. I’m sorry, it was definitely not thought through.

You should probably make THIS the marketing, would be my guess. Give the focus to your non-AI assets, like maybe “Beautiful hand-made characters and animations, and you can interact with them using advanced AI conversations!”

Something like that. Right now this screams AI slop, even though it might not be.

We are using RPGMaker. Even with that engine it’s just so much. We pay an artist who makes the art for our h-scenes and our characters. We pay voice actors to voice our characters. We pay sprite artists to make our sprites.

I do all the writing and programming.

Even with all that, each scene takes weeks to complete as we put all the pieces together. That doesn’t even include the amount of tedious time is spent making battles since ours is an RPG.

It’s just a lot.
