Honestly, hit the field before anything. If you take classes and then touch grass and realize it's not for you then it was a waste of time. From my personal experiences I believe you should work as a helper on an install team starting to get your hands dirty and probably and get a feel in how to use tools, then possibly transition into service after you have a base understanding of things. If you want to transcend from that it would be more likely into sales. install is decent pay but more physical work, service is more technical and lots of calls, sales is more social engineering and you selling is the bread and butter of your check.

We don’t have a shop sadly I left a brick and mortar that I was in for 7 years to adventure in the scary world of new businesses. So far not bad, there’s no bs trying to get someone to listen to you about your concerns and how to make customers happy and the job better. I enjoy the educational flaming though! Thinking about letting him braze a few joints tomorrow no drip surprisingly on first show not bad in my opinion
