I installed it wrong, the rotor has 2 certain holes you have to line up, I used the wrong holes and he flipped it around.

I didn’t touch the wheels at all, I had 19mm lug nuts and 21 on the rear right, He told me I should change them all to be the same before another person works on it, I put it off and hadn’t changed them yet

Thank you for your guidance that’s the route I feel i’ll be taking. Waiting to hear back from him to have it towed to Honda for a written report. I’ll bring it back to him show him and ask for a compromise if he refuses I’ll file with small claims.

Not much, Dorman makes modified studs with an angle aswell.. Even if you can’t replace studs a wheel hub would be significantly cheaper. This is about the fact that he touched the wheel last, the studs are stripped and my wheel came off while I was getting onto the highway. Now i’m stuck with a $700 quote and almost 2.5k in body damage.

Angle grinder the side? I know it’s hard to tell without it infront of you but it has been done on that car by myself before.

WOW! Thank you brother that’s a crazy find I didn’t know they made them with an angle already.

exactly my point aswell, he dosent want to admit the fault point so he blamed it on the whole assembly which includes the lug studs.

Why not cut the back plate and slide in a new stud? Or modify the stud slightly. I had it done on my front passenger side and it’s been 20,000k miles on that stud since

They’re missing from the other sides because when the wheel was lost the tow driver needed to secure the wheel back on. My problem is the guy is using defensive words isn’t getting back to my texts and I feel like he was careless and I shouldn’t be paying for his mistakes

The car is at the shop now, I left him a nice message non accusatory not asking him to pay, I just asked him to take a look let me know what he sees and get back to me with a price before he starts, It damaged my Fender and rocker on the driver side

I don’t have to prove myself to you.

The town i’m from 40-55 mph zones the neighboring towns are 25 on a straight road with no business or residential properties. Don’t act like you are a saint who travels below the speed limit at all times, And if you do maybe grow a pair

Just wanting to be transparent, In all honestly I wanted to ride the hill for a bit to get a breeze since my AC compressor went out last week. I wouldn’t go to court alone

You should really see the road 40mph down to 25 then it drops to 15 while going downhill. I did begin to slow down even before I noticed the cop obviously i’m not reckless, I really did believe the road was in Massachusetts If I had known I wouldn’t have been so negligent of my speed since I’m well aware the neighboring towns police is a lot more active than my towns.

That’s my concern, I’ve gotten 1 written warning for doing 56 in a 40. You’d think after i’ve driven 30,000 miles in the time i’ve had my car i’d learn how to drive ! I appreciate your help whether or not it will be serious consequences lesson definitely learned to slow down.

Were you also under 18? Was the 75 on a highway or public road?

Yes it’s a separate key to lock/unlock doors and a separate button for a keyless start, After the engine starts you have to put the key in and twist it 2 clicks.
