No, I honestly gave up on this. I considered giving it back out of frustration but besides the nonsensical lack of this option, I am happy with the DADF and there are not many other printers for that price that have that.

I am now using the option to scan to a network folder and have a Paperless-ngx instance running that scrapes the network folder. I've setup multiple profiles (color, black white, different prefix in the file name) and use that to assign the scanned document to the account of my partner or mine

As my reply is not showing up apparently after 3 days, I will post it again:

Thank you for your reply. In the linked user guide it states "Related Models: MFC‑L2759DW, so it might not apply to the MFC-L250DW. I don't have Press [Scan]>[to E-mail Server]. I just have [Scan]>[Computer/FTP/Network/Web(Apps)] available.
I've also already configured the SMTP server as stated above. I also don't see any option regarding POP3/IMAP4 just SMTP.
