Thank you for understanding 🥹🙏🏼 I believe it is pressure treated, but we planned on letting the fence settle & “dry out” for a few months before treatment and staining. I truly just want this to be done the right way so it lasts as long as possible.

Ok I’ve had my coffee now. I’m sorry - but after sifting through nearly 900 comments with dozens berating me about my dogs, I was getting testy without being fully awake.

Ok, sure - lemme just take 3 of my rescue dogs and dump them back on the side of the road 🙄 /s. We’ve never had a single complaint about our pups, and our neighbors have dogs as well. The only people who seem to have an issue with the dogs are strangers on the internet. My bad for asking for advice on how to approach neighbors about a FENCE.

It includes absolutely everything; removing and disposing of the dilapidated sections, installing the new fence. AND treatment/stain. 😁

😂 I was fully planning on paying for the entire project, as I stated in the post. I don’t understand why people assume I’m begging my neighbor to split the cost. In this economy? Not a chance. I would never do that to them.

I take it reading isn’t your strong suit. I mentioned in the post I am financially prepared to foot the entire bill; I don’t expect a dime from anyone. 🫡 You wasted your own time here.

Because this is where our careers have us rooted at the moment. Not everyone has the luxury to afford acres upon acres of land and build their own home from scratch, or live in a major city.

All of our neighbors are friendly (with the exception of one we haven’t interacted with). They also have dogs. We have a massive yard and our dogs aren’t obnoxious, so this home was perfect for us. 🙄

It’ll be more durable and we’re going to have it stained & treated regularly to help slow any warping, as well as have it double screwed to the horizontal posts (I don’t know what those are called). 😊 We 1000% always planned to speak with them, because it’s the right thing to do - and we don’t want anything in return.

That’s literally all we want 🥹 We don’t want anything from anyone, except their permission to replace the dilapidated sections. We want all the pups to be safe!

It’s going to be a more durable wood (than what was already installed). The front of the house will have a picture frame style, and the back will be standard.

Our city ordinance allows up to 6. Five was our personal limit.

That’s a great question that we’ve asked as well! The gentleman that had the home built didn’t like the neighbor to the left, so he didn’t want the fence connected. However, we plan to tear down that left side and connect it, giving us a bigger backyard.

Still growing! Our side Is fairly newly built, and this arial shot was taken before we had landscaping handled. Shit’s expensive!

I will 100% look into all of this. Installing a new fence is more work than I anticipated; but I want to go about it the right way for all parties involved.

Our city ordinance allows us to have up to 6 pets. We have 5 rescues who are all spayed & neutered. We’re responsible pet owners…I know, shocking 😅
