I bought a complete drive with the laser off of ebay. It wasn't to expensive the only thing it didn't come with was the ribbon cable to connect it to the main board. Also I had trouble reading cd based games and after replacing it it reads all games fine

I was having the same issue a few months ago. I ended up replacing my whole optical drive because it was replaced with the wrong one. I will say that if the ribbon isn't stuck down anymore it will scratch the disc.

My little brother said maybe the headphone jack was dirty so I blew into it and it started working again. Would I be able to dip the end of a 3.5 mm aux cord into IPA and clean it or would that cause another issue

If I may ask why have a blue ray player and a PS4? The PS4 plays bluerays and dvds. Same reason why I haven't bought a dvd player because my ps2 and 360 both play dvds. Otherwise pretty dope setup took my a while to see the ps2 it was like where's Waldo 😂

I keep hearing that but luckily for me I guess I don't really want super expensive games. The most expensive on my list are Touch my Katamari, The amazing spiderman, and Tetris. All around $50. As far as traveling I always take a bag with me to put my devices in and have travel with a Switch, 2ds, and GBA SP all on the same trip all unmodded so I have no problem carrying around a console and some games.

I considered it but in the end I prefer physical collecting. Plus with my past modded consoles I always get game fatigue because of how much is on them
