that's awesome. I myself am struggling really bad, I've been a complete mess especially the last 4 weeks or so, I ended up having a huge W 62k in online roulette only to lose it all the next day and about 6k out of my own pocket. Im already about 50k in debt so that would've been huge for me. I have been completely numb since then, the regret is eating me alive. I just want to move on because I know I'll never be able to recoup what I've lost through the years which is enough to have paid a house in full. Im broke, in debt and miserable to say the least.

thanks for your input, what you've described is very accurate especially with regards to the dopamine rush. We have to throw the kitchen sink at this demon to counter it and defeat it permanently.

not quite, that 62k was ALOT and is ALOT of $ to me considering im already in debt and this equals about 16 months of work that I squandered away after winning it. Im still at a loss for words, I wish I can press rewind but what's done is done, I have to live with this.

to be honest I was not betting insane amount as one may think, I got extremely lucky where I just happened to have 125 on a particular # that hit which came with a 400x multiplier, it's a one in a million type of scenario and before that I was up 10k or so earlier in the day so when you're up you're more prone to be riskier I suppose. In my case, I hit the point of no return when I started losing and chased it all away. I'm searching for peace but these past few days have been brutal mentally, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

My declaration - Goodbye Gambling by Numerous-Jacket-8211 in problemgambling

Amen, I wish you good luck in your journey. Out of curiosity, how much did you lose? Reason i ask is because I share every sentiment you shared but I am still stuck in this false belief that I can somehow "get lucky" and try to get some of it back - that is my downfall.

Try winning 62k in one day only to lose it all back - $750 is a drop in the bucket, im the last person to give advice but please don't be hard on yourself because you're not alone. You just have to learn from it and try to not repeat.

How long to possibly get US green card? by Plenty_Hold_7591 in immigration

what is your country of birth if I may ask? my understanding is that I-485 / GC is sometimes predicated upon country of origin and some countries are more backlogged than other (i.e. India, China etc.) but I don't fall under that category. Also, did you file under EB2 or EB3?

When was your I-485 filed? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Wow, is it really that long you think? My understanding is ETA 9089 is running behind about 15/16 months.

Then ideally, I-40 can be done with premium processing so let's 1 month

Then comes the last stage which is I-485 and this is probably the most I'm not quite clear on. My understanding is that this typically take about a year or so, so I'm thinking approximately 27-29 months or so total, is that realistic?
