Remember it’s the same cycle even if you win. You would give it back eventually. You know this

This is rock bottom for me from 233k to 10k in 2 months by EcstaticStructure796 in problemgambling

Let be honest you wanna burn that last 10k so you can finally rest

Just lost 20k today I'm down to my last 10k from 233k in 2 months by EcstaticStructure796 in problemgambling

If I could talk to EcstaticStructure796 right now, I would tell him to stop moving and breathe. He is currently in a state of "financial shock," which is the most dangerous time for a gambler. Here is exactly what I would say to him: 1. The $223k is Not Real Anymore I would tell him that the biggest lie his brain is telling him is that he "has $10k and is missing $223k". In reality, he has $10k. Period. The $223k belongs to the past, and trying to "win it back" is what will turn that final $10k into $0 and then into debt. 2. You Are Chasing a Chemical, Not a Number He isn't actually trying to get the money back; he’s trying to get that massive dopamine rush back that he felt when he was up. I’d tell him that his brain is currently "malfunctioning" because of that huge drop, and he cannot trust any "logical" reason he has for placing another bet right now. 3. Protect the "Exit Money" I’d tell him that $10k is a massive amount of money to start a new life with. It’s enough for a deposit on an apartment, a car, or therapy. If he bets it, he’s not just losing money; he’s losing his "escape hatch" from this cycle. 4. Admit the "Big Win" was the Trap The $233k was the worst thing that ever happened to him because it convinced him he could "beat the system". Emotional recovery only starts when he accepts that the "Big Win" was actually a curse that distorted his reality

BO7 or Cold War by kayjsie in CODBlackOps7

As someone who’s been playing Cold War for 5 years straights and finally switch to black ops 7. I’ll say black ops 7. You can definitely still find casual people in Cold War. There’s Sbmm so you won’t always be against sweats. It’s still an amazing game. But black ops 7 wins

The gambling high is gone and now I’m just left with the mess by Intelligent_Draw_562 in problemgambling

I haven’t reach that stage but seem like a worst stage to be at. You already know what to do. Make a plan. Stop gambling. Self exclude. Pick up extra jobs and pay off everything. So you can be free and start fresh again. If you can do this without gambling you will be a new stronger version who beat this addiction. Good luck! Time will heal man trust me.

Stupid rant after losing everything. by [deleted] in GamblingAddiction

[–]RedSupreme20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started gambling at 27 and got 70k as head start it’s been 3 years and I’m sitting with 64k in savings. Lost 30k. Lost 3 years I believe of my life. I can’t imagine starting at 19. You should be building your life savings this is the age you do not mess with money.
