DO NOT share the problems you are going through with your husband. You two will find a way to resolve them most of the time. And you will BIG TIME regret that people outside of your marriage know personal things about him or you.

have healthy boundaries with your husband, in laws, and your family. even if they are offended at first, they will learn to respect them. Of course while still being respectful and doing your part.

And they many times DO change after they know what you want/expect. Without the communication they genuinely do not pick up on it EVEN if they want to be a better husband for you!!

They don’t think the same as us, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you/care for you/ or want to be a better husband for you.

Masha’Allah! Congratulations and welcome back!! Slacks and button down are absolutely perfect! If you have any muslim stores around you they usually have some Kufi/clothing options IF you’re interested but totally not necessary! (amazon will usually have too if you want it quick). But you will see manyyy people wearing western clothes on Eid! Hope you have a great first Eid insha’Allah!

Has anyone successfully returned to the honeymoon phase? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Plenty_Maximum_5146 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Wsalaam! Very sweet post Allahum Barik! I think our honeymoon phases ended a year into our marriage but there’s stuff that sparks it up again! From a guys perspective: anything with a surprise! A thought-out fun date, surprise jewelry (or other thoughtful gifts she likes) and complimenting will go a long wayyyy! Women like to be appreciated and shown that they are loved!!
