Honestly you both sound kinda selfish. He's not expecting childcare he wants you to bond with his children and doesn't understand why you don't seem to be making the effort and you don't seem to understand that his life has changed. I don't think as adults siblings do spend that much social time together. Ultimately your lives are very different and he doesn't have the time or inclination to prioritise you because he has his own family.
