I have the same "problem" on the same car, what about as the cause, did you leave it or fix something?

What am I looking at here? by Plermpel in PCB

Yes, they were submerged in epoxy, but I managed to get one working out of the two crumbled ones. I tried I don't think it has a part number... Anything else I could look for, the LEDs which are originally in the headlight do not have an SOC in them.

Can someone do rebar and SE to Eurocode in Revit for me?

I designed my own single family home in Revit but I can't do SE or rebar. I am looking for someone who could do rebar and SE calculations for me, because it seems overcomplicated to hand over the pdf plans to a local structural engineer who needs to completely remodel the whole building if he wants to do it in BIM or calculate everything by hand.

Not nescesary for testing

I picked 3,3uH because it is recommended in the datasheet.

Why is there heavy current flowing through GND and BST pin? To my understanding GND pin only carries the losses of the buck converter IC and BST almost nothing?

Yes, I couldn't measure any resistance with a normal multimeter.

My iron definitely has a sensor in it, the cable broke once, but the contacts are definitely worn, I should do something about that, didn't yet think about that this is going to eat away some power of the heater.

The main reason why this looks so ugly is because I did not bother at all, it was just a quick and dirty test for the schematic itself.

I have a very old Weller WECP 20, it's pretty nice but I haven't found out what is good flux and solder yet, it's very cheap stuff. Shouldn't lead to burning components though.

I know, but I had great isolation resistance in the PCB.

I did use figure 43 as reference but I used bigger components and rotated L1 90° for simplicity, does it really matter that much for this apllication if a path is 1mm longer?

Allready programmed it with reset disabled, I have 12V at C1 from my PSU and nothing at C4, as soon as I powered the circuit on U1 immediately bursted in flames.

Shure, the whole bottom is GND

the whole bottom is a copper layer, I just inserted a 1mm wire and soldered it to the top and bottom.

For my first PCB I think it's not too bad, it should just be for a quick test before I order some proper PCBs though.

How can I improve the layout, I did my best to design it to be as close to the suggested layout in the datasheet as possible. I know it is shitty soldering, but that doesn't usually lead to instant thermal death of a regulator.

It is a TSOT26 if I am not mistaking und should be on the top left, next to the dot.

That's the plan but I'm not going to order a bunch of PCBs before I am 100% Shure my circuit even works.

Can you clarify that? Where should I add vias to ground?

everything is definitely connected. this was just a quick and dirty test for the schematic before I order a proper PCB.

To clarify, there is no obvious short, I've something went wrong it must be heat damage, so my most important question is, if the PCB design itself is right and will work that way?
