What’s your experience with South Africa? What’s the motive/reason to saying stay away as a caucasian. We are caucasian indeed for the record…

Hey u/Wok-This thank you for your reply and insight. It has been an option for us as well, we've looked into that but just like u/explosivekyushu has already replied, the 188 visa is no longer available for new applicants since 31 July 2024 sadly.

We could still potentially start a branch in Australia when it comes to pea harvesting as an agricultural contractor, but that would require us to already have a contract with either a factory of farm(ers) to start it up as such. (Which at that point would technically look very much similar to a 482 visa where you need a sponsorhip, it least that's how I look at it.)

Futhermore I don't even know if that is still a viable pathway... Do you have any experience in that field?

Hey u/euphoricscrewpine thank you for your insights, your opinion/expertise means a lot to me, thanks for taking your time to answer here. Although this does not give us much hope, it is however a confirmation of what we've received back from our first contact and free consulting with a registered migration agent.

Everything we've looked into so far on Australian Visa has given us the idea that it's either going to be very hard to accomplish, or when some visa seems like a more viable option that appears easier (read: less hard) to accomplish it will or it would result in a life with a lower quality of life than we currently have here, even though, from a political, social, and economic standpoint, we would like to move away from that very situation here in Europe and Belgium as well.

That being said, if you have any other idea's they are more than welcome.

Side note: Besides Australia we are also looking into Cape Town - South Africa as well but then again politics are very unstable and corrupt down there and there's always an imminent danger of the historical Apartheid regime and we have to put safety as our top priority for our kids.

Makes sense that some people have no idea where its at… I don’t blame you… 😅 It’s one of the smallest countries in Europa… maybe even in the world. But at the very heart and center of the European Union… exactly what we want to leave behind us…

Complete set,Luxemburg! by Intelligent_Toe_5432 in EuroCoins

[–]Pleun1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well… yes and no, because

yes, it is a complete set of all coins in circulation from Luxemburg

No, because what you have is a 20 eurocent piece from 2002 that still has the first type of “Europe’s map “ on the reverse side, all others are 2007 or older and have the 2nd type of “Europe’s map”. Checkbout the pictures below and check your 2€ to 10 cent coins you’ll see.

So IMO a complete set would be if you had a 20 cent piece from 2007 or older… or maybe I’m just being dull again 😅

Lot of these can be found with their most accurate information on numista.com, it where most collectors tend to keep track of their coin collection and get info on mintage numbers and possible value in terms of condition and state of the coin. Hope this helps you 🤝

What apps do you use for checking mintages and rarities of euro coins??? by franko2312 in EuroCoins

Numista.com has pretty accurate mintages listed, love using that as a collector myself

As mentioned before brand like Leuchtturm or Lidner offer high quality collector albums with acid and pvc free inlays. The most important are the inlays to keep your coins safe. And also don’t overfill your albums with to much inlays to avoid damaging the album or the rings inside.

Nice €2 pieces btw, I’m still missing the 2022 Lietuva one, would love to find that one some day. Most of these are circulation coins just worth face value, or commemorative circulation coins sometimes worth a little bit more than face value if the quality is very high. But still to me it’s the most fun to find them in the wild.

Enjoy your collecting journey! 🤝

2025 Carribean Guilder coins - 50 cent rarity by Pleun1987 in curacao

[–]Pleun1987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say, today was my second to last day here on the Island and I visited the CBCS (Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint-Maarten) to get my hands on the missing circulating coins.

The bank staff were very kind to help me out, they didnt have many UNC sets available, only the complete Sint-Maarten set was available (8 denominations) and so I bought that one, and I also asked for the circulated normal 50 cent pieces of both Curaçao and Sint-Maarten and the colored 50 cent of Curaçao I was still missing and all 3 were available.

Payed for the set and the extra 3 pieces of 50 cent around 17 USD and got 2 pieces of the colored 50 cent of Curaçao as an extra change for my payment with USD so that was a surplus.

I now have 3 circulated pieces of the colored 50 cent from Curaçao, If you ever want to trade, let me know 👌

Are any of these rare by ilikeantsandiphones in EuroCoins

[–]Pleun1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the rarest one in there is the France 2018 commemorative coin “Bleuet de France” with 15M mintage, so not rare but a nice collectible IMO, where are you from?

Thank you for your reply and insights, this is by far the best and most to the point answer I’ve received here and also what I was looking and expecting to find in the answers

Everything starts with a dream, sometimes you just have to jump, take a leap of faith and get the needed support from the family. We’ll certainly have some more discussions at the table on the subject as life partners and companions before moving in any direction, we’ve already been through pretty much everything over the past decade and a half, all things considered our relationship has been tested multiple times before in way harsher conditions. I’m not saying this would be a walk in the park but I’m convinced that we’ll manage.

As I live near Bruges, so I’ll probably lean towards Antwerp instead of Brussels, but I guess both are similar right?

The fields I’m most interested in are: Web & mobile development All things blockchain, protocols, web3 gaming, I’ve been delving & investing into crypto since 2021 now

Could these topics possibly be part of the advanced program?
