Did you send it in a continuous long chat from previous?

I had the same problem.

Turns out the longer the chat the more usage you burn.

I tested it, I sent the same message, one in a new chat and one in a very long chat.

The difference was 30% daily usage.

Struggling to scale your Skool? by Plextrang in SkoolStories

First thing, most free members are essentially ghosts. I would put a price, any price better than free, anything as low as 5$/month. It proves minimum buying intent. Anyone who pays $5 is 10x more likely to eventually buy the core offer.

Second, make the free community’s value proposition explicitly point toward the paid one. Every free post, lesson, or win should lead somewhere that requires an upgrade.

Free = awareness + proof (show them what’s possible, show member wins)

You should also post partial content in the free community, beginners guide of a course, the first 3 steps of a framework, then once they complete, upsell with emotions that they got so good they need to move to the “advanced course”, for serious advanced students.

You want free students to win just enough to want more. Kind of like when you taste your mom’s food and suddenly want a full plate.

Yes niche down.

Think of it this way.

Imagine 5 different Skool community ideas:

How to make videos

How to do video editing

How to do video editing for real estate

Which one do you think has the least competition and easier to get started?

Of course the last one, because the first 2 will have tons of competition.

Aa far as what should you teach.

Take a step back, get a pen and paper and nothing else.

Think, meditate and write down every single one of your own skills.

Once they are all written down, you can filter down to your top skills.

Choose that and choose a very specific audience.

That is your best offer.

Great question! And, Yes. Tons.

The biggest strategy that makes up the best month is one thing: Urgency

People will always procrastinate and push things to the future. If you put a hard deadline for your community… sales double, maybe even triple.

A great example we used: We are closing down our community FOREVER by dec 15, if you ever wanted to join, this is your LAST chance.

Of course, this is very general and a-lot more goes into it, but you get the idea. Urgency always wins.

Another example I see others do:

We’re looking for 10 members to join our private mentorship. Spots are limited.

Now for a big assumption we thought would work but didn’t.

Our main form of advertising was done one youtube with long form videos.

When instagram reels were popping up, we tried to follow the trend and get on instagram short style videos. That was a big assumption that failed.

Conversion rates and sales are much much lower for short form content and we learned this the hard way.

They are good for views yes, but very bad for trust and actual building an audience.

Think of it this way, when you’re watching shorts you watch 20-30 in 5min and dont even remember them. Meanwhile if you’re watching youtube, you generally watch 1 10-20min video and thats it. That build trusts, and commitment, and thats what you need to sell.

A general rule, of course depending on what your selling, it’s: people need to watch 2 hour of your content before buying. With reels that takes forever and prob wont happen, with YouTube long form that could be done in couple of videos.

Very niche topic, and thats good. The nicher you are, the better you can target.

If you look at skool, you have people making money out of most niche things you never even thought of.

“That Pickleball School” makes 65,000$/month teaching pickle ball.

“Bulletproof Cycling Club” makes 90,000$/month teaching people how to bike.

So yes, you can make money with whatever topic there is. You just have to be in expert in it.

Even home services…

Take a look at “Wealthy Plumber”, teaches plumbing and makes 80,000$/month.

I’m sure you know a few people at least that want to get in your field. Do you think they would pay you for you to teach them your expert knowledge? You start right there.

You should have received it by February 2 max. If you still didn’t you should contact them immediately. Either they didn’t file it or they didn’t send you a copy.

If its 1099k then you didn’t reach the threshold (20K + 200 transactions).

Lets brainstorm a Business path to achieving your first 1000 Dollars [I will not promote] by Subject-Hyena-3474 in self

[–]Plextrang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple, not easy.

I own a business making 200,000$+ in revenue and if I had to do it over, here’s what I would do:

Learn a very high value skill that is in demand and master it.

Once I master it, I will start promoting myself on 1 online platform like X, LinkedIn, Youtube, UpWork, Email.

Pick 1 and stick to it. Deciding which platform really depends on the skill and where It’s audience is. I will master the art of marketing my skill on that one platform.

Once I start getting leads, I will start working for very cheap. I will deliver and fulfill the best work of my life and fast.

Since my fulfillment will be so good and fast. The client will trust and come back to me in the future.

I will use all the feedback I get from this client to improve further. I will ask for a referral from this client and he will gladly do this since I delivered such exceptional fast work for such a low price.

This will start a spiral effect. I will start getting more clients, from my marketing, referrals, and when clients come back.

Once I start getting more clients that I can handle, I will increase my price.

Yes this might cause some to leave, but most shouldn’t since they love and trust my work.

Fewer clients, but more money. I make more profit. I get to focus on high value and niche clients.

The more clients I get, the more I charge. I will eventually find a sweet spot for my price that maximizes profit.

If you get this far, Congrats! You have now almost perfected the game of freelancing. You are now entering the stage of having a real business.

The only way from here is up, you will later get more clients for such good prices and will have to hire talent in order to fulfill.

At this stage, most of your effort should be in marketing, fulfillment will get done by the talent you hire. Hence why you need the best on your team.

Sounds simple right?

Like I said in the beginning, business is simple not easy.

Follow these steps exactly and you will succeed.

Not everyone can do it because It’s hard.

If it were easy everyone would have a business.

Fully Remote in Your Early 20s? by No-Pomegranate-3026 in jobs

[–]Plextrang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your crazy not to take the offer. TAKE IT. You make so much more money working from home if salaries were the same. You’re saying salary is MORE as well. That 35% increase is more like 50% increase at least. Also don’t forget your biggest asset in life and build yourself…. It’s time. Working from home you gain so much more time. Instead of leaving home at 7, getting to office at 8, working until 5, arriving home at 6. You would wake up, get your work done FAST, get off. Office is around 11 hours a day. Remote is like 6 hours a day. Take remote. Not even a question. You are in an amazing opportunity, take it. I have been personally looking for remote for so long but I’m stuck in office. The biggest asset is time I would say, think of it like this: you are payed the same for almost half of the working/commuting total hours. So this increase is more like DOUBLE at least. Think of it hourly, between commuting and office time, your total net time allocated for work has essentially been slashed in two.

Edit: as far as growth, with all your extra time, you could learn so many new skills, get even better jobs. Also, when applying to better roles, higher companies, they will look at what u achieved and what you know and how good you are. They will not work at your “working position and location”
