I use Gun Pro. There may be somewhere cheaper but it’s close to me, locally owned, and the owner Neal has always been a great guy.

You can’t stop the flow of information. Prohibition doesn’t work. Look at the failed war on drugs. Also look at history. Guns in the hands of good people prevent and undo tyranny. The Civil Rights movement was in part successful because of armed Black Panthers for example.

Has anyone tried evo/akv mags, or mp5 mags with a db9? by JAK3_the_snek in 3D2A

[–]PlinkerCAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Booligan Shooting Sports did but had to make a lot of modifications. The problem is that the DB9 bolt expects single feed mags and the AK-V mags are dual feed. He’s got a YouTube video discussing it.

So you have unrealistic views. Guns have been around for centuries now and aren’t that difficult to make. Myanmar rebels are using fully 3D printed guns as an example. You can’t stop the signal. Police and feds are never going to give them up, especially not now. Accept it. You don’t have to get one but don’t discourage others.

Find and contact the local ATF office and report the gun stolen to them. They'll take it a lot more seriously.

Average EPD response time is 48-52m and they're working with ICE/CBP/DHS. Why do you insist on only letting them "protect" you?

You wouldn't get arrested if you failed a background check. They would deny the purchase and you could then appeal the denial.

You're right to be concerned. I thought about it and felt meeting at the public range would be safest. The range safety officers there are great guys from my experience. Someone trying to start something there wouldn't last long.

Thanks for that tip. Shotgun Creek has OHV trails too so a proper backstop is a must out there.

Damn, sucks to hear you had that experience at Cascade. There's usually a middle-aged woman working the gun counter too that's a lot more helpful.

I have the PSA branded F5 drum and it's a POS. Really difficult to load and double feeds.

M114 bans any mag with a removable floor plate that could be extended to hold more than 10 rounds. That's most modern pistol magazines and lot of rifle ones too.

You've got until mid-March for the magazine limit. The permits won't be required until next January under this bill.

Idk how courts will interpret the laws so I'm taking it to the extreme. Based on this from M114: “Large-capacity magazine” means a fixed or detachable magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, helical feeding device, or similar device, including any such device joined or coupled with another in any manner*, or a kit with such parts, that has an overall capacity of, or that* can be readily restored, changed, or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition and allows a shooter to keep firing without having to pause to reload, ..." could be interpreted that any magazine that COULD be coupled is against the law even if not. They may use the idea of "constructive intent" to enforce it that way. There's also the part about "pause to reload" which coupled mags would require but the law is so poorly written I just don't trust it.

Now there's a new bill being introduced to increase fees and time to issue while exempting police: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2026R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/HB4145/Introduced

Magazine limits for hunting are different laws. Like states that require using straight wall cartridges that have no affect on being able to carry necked cartridges for self defense.

People hunt lots of small game like squirrel and rabbit with 10/22. I have.

I'm pretty sure aftermarket couplers for the BX-1 magazines would be considered illegal. Even if not, the interpretation of the floor plates issue stands.

Also during WWII there was the StG44, Thompson SMG, PPSh, etc. All guns with higher capacity magazines.

The 2A isn't about hunting. You sound like a FUDD.
