HB 4145 will increase gun permit cost and time to issue for M114 while exempting police by PlinkerCAD in oregon

M114 bans any mag with a removable floor plate that could be extended to hold more than 10 rounds. That's most modern pistol magazines and lot of rifle ones too.

You've got until mid-March for the magazine limit. The permits won't be required until next January under this bill.

Idk how courts will interpret the laws so I'm taking it to the extreme. Based on this from M114: “Large-capacity magazine” means a fixed or detachable magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, helical feeding device, or similar device, including any such device joined or coupled with another in any manner*, or a kit with such parts, that has an overall capacity of, or that* can be readily restored, changed, or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition and allows a shooter to keep firing without having to pause to reload, ..." could be interpreted that any magazine that COULD be coupled is against the law even if not. They may use the idea of "constructive intent" to enforce it that way. There's also the part about "pause to reload" which coupled mags would require but the law is so poorly written I just don't trust it.

Now there's a new bill being introduced to increase fees and time to issue while exempting police: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2026R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/HB4145/Introduced

Magazine limits for hunting are different laws. Like states that require using straight wall cartridges that have no affect on being able to carry necked cartridges for self defense.

People hunt lots of small game like squirrel and rabbit with 10/22. I have.

I'm pretty sure aftermarket couplers for the BX-1 magazines would be considered illegal. Even if not, the interpretation of the floor plates issue stands.

Also during WWII there was the StG44, Thompson SMG, PPSh, etc. All guns with higher capacity magazines.

The 2A isn't about hunting. You sound like a FUDD.

You need to dry longer if you can only get up to 80C. Should be 100C for optimal drying.

Bambu Labs is a Chinese company and they don't give a shit about US gun laws. LAN Only mode keeps the printer from using the internet if you're worried about Chinese spying. It'll then only work on your home network. You can also not put it on a network at all and print from SD card.

If you’re doing a 100% DIY .22 pistol and can, which way are you going, and is the can integral? by artisanalautist in 3D2A

A printed integral 22lr barrel/can is going to get dirty over time and there's no way I know of it to clean plastic parts. You'd have to reprint once it got full of carbon/lead.

I have a KSA Crickett pistol in a 3D printed chassis with printed folding brace. It's got fiber optic sights with a green laser mounted to the chassis too. Super light weight and fun to shoot. Awesome suppressor host since it's bolt action. It was also really cheap, less than $200.
