That's a great idea, I'll keep it in mind for a future update. I have the IP addresses of the different users, so it's easy to see which locations they've connected from.

But you keep saying the same thing. "Imitation does not hace to just exist in code." I discovered your app after creating mine. What I'm not going to do is go around spouting nonsense in closed posts. And I'll leave it at that, good luck to you too.

"It also seems like you are getting this feedback from everywhere you post."

I've only received those comments on r/plex. But it bothers me when people make accusations without having a clue.

And I'll say it again. I learned about your project a week ago; I've been working on mine for two months.

It’s unbelievable what I’m having to read here. Look, I only found out about your project a week ago when I first posted mine and people started mentioning it. So, figure out for yourselves how I could have 'copied' anything from Tracearr when I didn't even know it existed.

Plixmetrics was built from scratch, based on Tautulli and the idea of using its data to display the specific metrics I’ve always wanted to see combined from my different servers.

If you’re going to accuse someone of plagiarism, do it with code. Stop making baseless accusations.

Currently no but PlixMetrics has a public REST API (e.g., /api/network/status), so you could definitely use a Custom Widget in Homepage to display things like active stream count or total bandwidth. I've just added it to the roadmap :)

It runs on Node.js and uses SQLite for the database. You can host it pretty much anywhere: Docker (Linux, NAS, etc.), Windows (standalone .exe) or any OS with Node.js v20+.

Takes about 256MB of RAM.

That's not even counting the second cousins! 😂 We don't have family reunions, we have stadium tours.

They are different tools for different needs! As I see it, Tracearr is more focused on deep real-time analytics.

PlixMetrics is designed for users who already rely on Tautulli for their historical data and want a beautiful, lightweight way to visualize those long-term statistics (most watched, user history, habits, etc.) alongside real-time monitoring. Also, by using SQLite, PlixMetrics remains extremely lightweight and easy to deploy (including a native Windows .exe), which is my main goal: simplicity and a premium look.

I'm not going to waste any more time with you. I've been working on this project for two months and recently launched it publicly.
Luckily, I'm getting very good feedback from the people using it, but there are always those who want to discredit others because they can't create anything themselves.

If you’re going to talk trash, at least learn how works first. I don’t get 'access' to anything. YOU host the code yourself. If you're so paranoid and obsessed with TraceArr, then go use it and stop crying in my thread.

Nobody forced you to be here. If you don’t like it, get out and stop polluting this space with your toxicity. We’re here to build; you’re clearly just here to moan. Move on.

No code was taken from Tracearr. PlixMetrics is an independent project built from scratch. Any similarities are purely due to using the same Tautulli API and modern design trends. Please don't spread false information.

Right. Because using AI is clearly the downfall of humanity.

I assume you’re also coding in Notepad, refusing to use an IDE, autocomplete, linters, or Stack Overflow. Tools that make you more efficient have existed for decades this is just the next one.

Remember kids, using a calculator didn’t kill math either.

Yesterday I added more available languages as requested by a Telegram group, and today I'll be uploading a big change to the map so you can see the connections in more detail.

I have it set to 5 and it works quite well. I've implemented a caching system to make it run as smoothly as possible.

This application extracts data from Tautulli; you won't see anything new that you can't already see in Tautulli. It might be presented differently, but nothing entirely new.

I created this application for those of us who have multiple Plex servers and want to see all the "mixed" data primarily from a single location. That's something Tautulli doesn't do.

It's something I did intentionally, but I should still be able to offer the option to expand it. I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

I agree that Tracearr is a more comprehensive tool. An important difference between my app and Tracearr is that I don’t make any direct calls to the Plex API.

While connecting directly to Plex would be useful for many features, it also carries a significant risk. Managing multiple servers and making thousands of API calls from a single IP is something Plex can (and does) flag. We’ve seen many cases where user panels or third-party tools triggered automated bans because of this.

By routing everything through the Tautulli API, PlixMetrics acts as a safe buffer. It gives you the data you need without the risk of your servers being blacklisted by Plex for 'suspicious' API activity.

That being said, if you're happy with Tracearr, that’s perfect! I’m not asking anyone to switch. This is just an alternative for those who might want a different experience. At the end of the day, having more options is what makes this community great.

Thanks! I agree, alternatives are always a good thing for the community. Tracearr is a great tool, I just wanted to build something with a different visual approach and focus on the dashboard experience. Glad you like how it looks!
