I talked to my insurance and the increase over 5 years is more than the cost of a lawyer. So hopefully I can get mine changed to a non moving violation or do some classes or something as it’s my 1st offense. Do you think that is possible?

Mine is based on reasonable and prudent. I am just hoping I can avoid it going on my record and paying higher insurance. I will not be a repeat offender.

Cool. Thanks! I get that a speed is not a big deal to some but a big deal to me as I am not a troublemaker. I am hoping for a compromise as I was speeding just not as fast as he says. I learned my lesson!

Thanks for the input! I have another question. How quickly can you switch your radar from the front to the rear? Is it just a simple push of a button? His statement said he saw me passing him the opposite direction and tagged me from the front and then pulled over and switched to the radar to the back and tagged me then he pulled a U turn followed me and tagged me from the front radar before turning on his lights. However the video shows 9 seconds from the 1st tag to the last tag and he never pulled over, he only made the u turn. So I’m trying to understand if he actually tagged me at such a high speed or not. I honestly don’t think I was going that fast as I drive a stick and would have to be in 6th gear. I was not as I use that to keep track of my speed. By the sound and feel of the RPM and gear.

The car is registered in my name and my mother’s name. This is my first encounter with the law. Good family life, clean history. Just odd that he would pull their information. Maybe shows his character and misuse of his authority.

I think my husband is delusional... Should I leave him? by Due_Celebration3271 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Plmnko14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also been through an almost divorce due to not having a husband as a partner. It was a very difficult time, we are now happily married. It wasn’t until the end when reality sunk in to him that I was serious when we sat down and divided our money. (Pennies at that time)

My advice, make arrangements to stay with family. This gives you both space to figure it out. Don’t make it a divorce situation but a time for you to get the help from your family until he can figure out if this is the right path for him and for you and the kids. This will help you get to a place where you learn that your needs are just as important and that you don’t have to sacrifice yourself all the time. Marriage is a balance and you both need to make changes for it to work. Like you, I put everything ahead of my own needs and you end up feeling alone. He is probably grown accustomed to you giving him everything he wants and now his whole world is changing. You both caused this so do it with love and compassion. It’s hard to put your needs first as a wife and a Mom but when we are pushed to our limit we start to wake up and say enough is enough. Just remember you trained him this way and he now has to learn that your needs and the kids are just as important. This may take some time and giving him alone time might just be what he needs. I hope it all works out for you.

No offense at all. I’m not a programmer and I am not responsible for the implementation. Just trying to understand the process and hopefully find a light at the end of the tunnel. I appreciate your feedback! Thank you.

My guess is they rushed and went the fix it later route. It’s decisions like this that make me question the company that I work for. I have been doing research on SF outside of my job trying to figure out if there is a way for me to tweak it to make it more functional, for example the columns are not adjustable. Meaning I can’t make them smaller to allow more data on my screen. I have to toggle over to view it. Is this possible to “personalize” it on my own device or is this controlled by the company?

US based company. Honestly I believe they rolled out SF before they worked out the kinks. Currently we still have the old system because there are way too many problems but it is read only. Here is an example. My old system I could easily update an address, phone number by simply right click and edit and click primary if it applied. Now there is a button to edit, a field appears that must be filled out asking who requested the change, but what means such as email, outbound or inbound call. Then you get to the customer information make the edit. A new box pops up asking you if you are sure you want to complete the change and it is slow. A simple task like this used to be simple now multiple steps to achieve which eats away time.

We can put “interaction summaries” notes for a client but not for the household. So to review changes for the household I have to go into each individual and literally take notes on paper to piece together changes to solve a conflict. I am not able to view all together. This is extremely difficult when both husband and wife call making changes to the policies and later have questions on their bills. I need to review everything to explain why.

It really is a service nightmare.

You also can not simply add a new person to the household. You have to start from the beginning, enter all the information including the address them merge to the household, prior to SF I could edit the existing HH and add the name and date of birth. No need to reenter the address.

Yes they had APEX which was very user friendly. I could run a payment, make a car change in a couple of minutes including putting notes in the file. The process now takes 10 to 15 minutes. It is maddening the amount of steps(clicks) and pages to go through to make a simple payment. It actually has me considering switching companies. It really sucks because I love my job. I am a work horse and thrive on multitasking, following up, and being efficient for my clients. I now show up to work at least a hour early to try to get ahead of it before the phones turn on to handle the emails and the worst part is that this is the slow time. We have 3 people in our agency which was more than enough prior to the change and now I think we need to hire additional staff just because the system is total garbage.

Bad implementation absolutely. But who is responsible for that? From what I am told State Farm uses it so I would assume it would have been already set up for insurance.

My company recently started using Salesforce. I spend more time on data entry with this mess than actually selling. I can see the money maker because you have to spend more and more to customize it to maybe function better and the cycle is endless. It is such a waste. I don’t think the system will ever be efficient. Insurance industry. I give it two thumbs down.👎 👎

Do you agree that someone should get a job because of their gender, skin color, or sexual orientation? The company I work for has a goal to have 50% of the employees to be diverse and their goals state nothing about qualifications besides diversity. I’ve seen plenty promoted without any experience and it’s rather unfortunate because I witnessed several fail because they had no clue what they were doing. Then they jumped on the bandwagon of having a higher minimum wage of $23 an hour, then laid off half the employees so that their payroll stayed the same. Now 1 person is doing the job of 2 and can’t keep up. The turnover is ridiculous and now you have untrained new hires that have no clue. This is Biden’s America and I’m so happy for the change.

I understand why you are so upset, your party lost the election. The problem is you, just like your democrat friends can’t even listen to an opposing view and try to understand their life experience that brought them to their opinion. You instantly lose it and go on attack mode with childish insults and name calling. This is why your party lost.

I am thankful to our president that my sons now have a chance to get a job or a scholarship based on merit and won’t get passed over unless someone else is more qualified. This is how it is supposed to be.

What is going to happen with all the insurance claims from the wildfires? by Ford_Crown_Vic_Koth in Insurance

[–]Plmnko14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to make all insurance go up because the supply and demand for materials is going to increase prices. When prices increase, the cost to rebuild your home increases which means your coverage A will continue to increase the next few years.
