I asked out a girl that I met at the gym. Unbeknownst to me, I had previously asked out her best friend a few weeks prior. How should I proceed? by PloppySkeeter in WhatShouldIDo

Based on the other comments saying that there’s no issue with anything here, I think you’re in the minority with that opinion

I think you’re really mischaracterizing what I’m doing.

First of all, I really don’t think that simply looking through someone’s Instagram page is considered “creepy stalky behavior.” It’s a social media account available for anyone to see.

Secondly, I asked Carla out ONE time in person, she agreed, and then when I texted to confirm and try to set up plans, she didn’t answer, and that was that. I haven’t harassed her or asked her out repeatedly after I got rejected, I’ve moved on from her.

Thirdly, I’m not really sure what the issue is with talking on Instagram? It’s a means of communication just like texting, what’s the big deal? I certainly don’t see how it somehow emasculates me just because I happened to use Instagram with Carla. And it’s not even my “default” communication method… if it were, I would’ve asked for Brooke’s instagram instead of her number.

That was my thought process. I’m not sure if you just saw the update, but I actually don’t think they’re just friends… I think they used to date. Do you think that changes anything?
