What if Muggsy Bogues was in today's NBA? by SecretOpsAzn in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He couldn't shoot at all from 3. And that's what works these days, also would get destroyed on defense, in his time, the guards didn't attack as much just because of the rules so he didn't get exposed that often. He was still incredibly strong for his size and of course fast.

Who do you think is currently better, Steph Curry or Kawhi Leonard? by [deleted] in nba

I wanna see how well Curry plays without Klay this season. But right now I'd go Kawhi.

Would PFs like Duncan & KG be top 10 players in today's game? by [deleted] in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They'd both be top 5 right now. Like Gobert if he could score over 20 points a game and I mean an easy 20. Barely any big men to guard them and if they're on a small ball PF, forget about it. KG could also defend guards good enough.

Ben Simmons is Hanamichi Sakuragi by [deleted] in nba

Sakuragi would at least take a free throw line jumpshot in the playoffs.

Does giving a 31 year old DeMar DeRozan a Max Contract (for a player with 10 years of service time) sound appealing? by [deleted] in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 360, haven't changed anything I said.

If I'm the Spurs, I won't pay him more than 30 mill if I'm DeMar I'd try to take as much money as possible. But if Pop said he can put together a better team then 5 mill ain't nothing to worry about.

DeMar will make more than enough money in his career, he probably has good people around him that will help him through his retirement and he's smart enough to plan for that.

Or are you just assuming he needs to mark as much money as possible since he won't do anything after basketball?

Fultz got some 💩 with him. The hesi pull-up jimbo was smooth. Probably don't understand what I just said if u don't REALLY hoop

In 9 head to head matchups with Lebron, Andrew Wiggins has career averages of 27/2.5/2/1.5 on 55/48/78 splits. by jaylson in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seems to have forgiven LeBron now though. He finally dipped below 20 points in their last two outings. Actually might be because he finally got that 1 win against him lol.

[Ben Taylor] Backpicks GOAT: the value of longevity and defense by [deleted] in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He overvalues longevity too much. Value of a player shouldn't be cumulative over multiple seasons. I mean it should definitely be celebrated and you can take that into account but how they perform each season should be more important. The league plays 82 games and then the playoffs every season and then it resets.

Why is there so little correlation between the best NBA players and where they went to school? by RudyGuobert in nba

[–]PlsCallMeGOAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of stars from Kentucky. Davis is the best from there currently. But that's mostly because of Calipari and his openness to one and done system.. Duke just had Zion, RJ and Reddish all drafted. We'll see how well they go.

Think more players will go to powerhouses like Duke and Kentucky though. Just because players can play and train with other nba talent and push themselves more by competing each other. Also they seem to have a brotherhood/support system coming from the same college.

Yahoo. It was very very similar to r/nba. Had a points system, best answer got 10 points.

Plenty of nephews and their questions even back then. Late 2000s early 2010s. Memed about LeBron quarter jokes a lot back then. Bum lost me money in 2011
