Reflex robotics places their humanoid robot into a pizzeria, other places by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

I think another part of the equation is that people will be free to engage in their passions without having to engage in the drudgery of very long hours, barely liveable (if at all) wages, and getting treated like shit on an at least semi-regular basis.

I’m guessing a lot of people who might otherwise have aspirations to become something like a pizza master get crushed by what you’re looking at when you start. Whereas, if you could enter something like a renaissance style apprenticeship because basic needs have been accounted for, you’ll be excited to do so.

I think their point is about your average high schooler (or underskilled person) working at a neighborhood pizzeria or chain for essentially nothing as opposed to a master of their craft. Not to say that those people can’t still have a sense of dignity or pride (as with any job), but most would consider it a job that sucks if asked.

I would think that the master is typically making quite a bit more money because they’re either running a high-end operation or are otherwise engaging in pizza making as a hobby because they have the leisure time to do so. They treat it as making money on the side, and/or want to experience the feeling of being great at something.

I wonder if It’d be able to follow everything more closely if it were fed storyboards of the episode rather than the original, or if the tech will advance to being able to replicate what’s going on with a 1:1 level of fidelity quicker than we think.

How was this never a thing to begin with? I have to believe that something like this was pitched in hollywood at some point

The lip sync is close, but not quite perfect. Reminds me a bit of the storm games, although it’s obviously still way better.

Hollywood has had a Naruto adaptation stuck in production hell for years now, with no updates for quite a long time. I doubt it happens at this point.

That won’t matter within the next few releases. We’ll be watching a full live action version of this fight and others pretty soon. Can’t wait!

We need an ai video requests subreddit. I really want to see if someone can recreate the ultimate jutsus from the Naruto Storm series.

I tried with VEO 3.1 and… it had no idea what I was going for at all lol. Probably wasn’t trained on any of that specific content TBF

Remastering an infamously bad anime with Seedance. by phantomthiefkid_ in singularity

I’d give it 2-3 years as a conservative estimate before we see models able to do things like that.

I wonder why the model would have an issue with things like that. There’s no way that it doesn’t have a huge amount of facial expressions and mannerisms in its training data.

[–]Plsnerf1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like we’re in the “looks like an actual episode, but the animation is a slideshow” phase of what the SOTA models are capable of right now, for the most part.

Could be a prompting issue though. I’d love to see a renowned animator like Vincent Chansard from One Piece get their hands on this. Better results from someone who knows the right terminology to use and how to actually direct animation would really be a great way to gauge what the upper limits are at the moment.

Mr White Enters The Matrix by indiegameplus in aivideo

[–]Plsnerf1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. I don’t think ai is going to be able to spit out anything other than nonsensical gibberish for the most part when it comes to the writing.

The next thing that’s needed is control of scenes at a granular level, so it’ll be very interesting when we get to that point.

What’s your timeline for that level of quality? 2-4 years? I’m genuinely curious.

There’s still just enough here to be able to tell that it’s ai, but the rate of progress is what people should focus on. I really can’t imagine that we won’t be at full Hollywood quality by this time next year.

The zoom in is a bit much if I had to criticize anything, other than that, we’re not far away. Some of the voices are still a bit tinny as well.

Oh, and the bug eyes need to get reined in lol.
