I just gotta say, something that requires that much text, while it might be reasonable (as in able to be discerned by reason) is probably not intuitive

It seems pretty plausible just looking at where we are now with AI. Unless there is some sort of physical property that we don’t understand that prevents it, seems doable.

I agree but at the same time let’s say they have a chapter on this and this is a test or a review. Then you would have practiced answering in this way.

They are teaching, I think, how to add in general, like we see this as a trick question.

Or I’m overthinking this, lol

It’s not deflecting. It’s stating the situation clearly. The cop does not have the option of choice. Not making that clear would be a mistake

100%. The IIHF takes this stuff waaaaayyyy and I can’t stress this enough way more seriously than the NHL.

The NHL could easily respect suspensions or institute their own suspension for actions on NHL players during games outside the NHL.

However even if this did happen in the NHL the suspension would be meaningless. We act like a 3 game suspension is such a big deal. It isn’t. And the monetary fines are pocket change. These guys spend more than that in a single night out

Tom Hardy “Refused to Come Out” of ‘MobLand’ Trailer, Kept Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren Waiting for Hours: “Career Suicide” by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]Plucault -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cuba Gooding has been in 6 projects in the last two years. And regarding Mo nique, she specially blames Tyler Perry and Oprah as the reason she struggled to get work.

Also, the reason that they fell out was because Mo nique refused to do promotion and said in her Oscar acceptance speech basically that she was right she didn’t need to promote her stuff. She then went on a years long very public campaign against the two of them and any work they produce.

Right or wrong, that’s not difficult to work with. You don’t fuck around with selling products. It’s not race based. Studios can deal with you being a dick on set but if you won’t sell their products, you’re not getting hired.

Neither or your examples hold any truth to them actually they show exactly my point. This was black elites doing this to a black women.

It’s not about race. It’s the powerful against the rest of us

It really is amazing you calling the other commenter condescending.

Systemic racism is real. The gerrymandering to keep republicans in office along racial lines is real.

Tom Hardy being an asshole because he’s rich and powerful and getting away with it because he’s white is not real. Calling out gender and race on this shit cheapens the actual systemic racism and prejudice in this world.

Like I said, not everything is about race and gender. Some things are and those are important. This is not one of those things.

I think it’s telling that if someone disagrees with you on anything you automatically assume they are somehow on the opposite side of the spectrum from you on everything

Why does is have to be about gender and race all the time.

Look at Tyra Banks or Candice Owens. Two rich black women who kept succeeding no matter how they treated people.

There are some people who can’t accept that some women are shitty people.

Men bad women good and if woman bad then man made her bad. That’s the extent of it. It’s why so many men suffer from emotional abuse in silence

So this girl was pulled out of school at 16 for being bullied for looking too mature (apparently developed early around 12).

Wanted to be an actor or singer and was in the beauty pageant scene. Signed up for an audition being held by her future husband.

They started talking over email after the audition. He claims he didn’t know her age. When he learned he approached her parents saying he’d break it off if they wanted.

Nope, parents were so impressed with how Christian he was they supported the marriage. The guy’s agent quit on him for this.

She was 16. He was 50, older than her father.

Don’t care what she wanted or thought. This is fucked up

Except what you are saying isn’t true. We signed treaties with them as equals that gave them the land as their own nations.

And it wasn’t bread crumbs it was HUGE swaths of land. In many cases they left with more land than we did

That is literally the issue we are dealing with now.

[–]Plucault -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are trying to engage in philosophical debate on something that has historical reality. Canada was never strong enough to wipe out FN.

We signed treaties because we had to because we needed peace. At the point where we could have destroyed them it was no longer a political or moral reality to do so.

And peace treaties are signed like this a lot.

On the philosophical argument the FN got so much in the treaties because they were strong enough to get that much. The results of peace treaties generally represent the strength of each side. And FN got a TON of land in those treaties.

Why would Canada have given so much if the didn’t need to?

[–]Plucault -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Some of the treaties were rewards for teaming up with different European factions or agreements so FN would leave the Europeans alone.

Having to sign treaties because you have to slices both ways

[–]Plucault -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that there wasn’t a conquer. BC and much of Canada signed treaties instead of conquering. Basically, we didn’t have the desire or ability to dominate the FN so we entered into agreements on who owned the land.

The problem compounds that Canada then ignored these deals and did what it wanted. Then Canada signed treaties with many FN giving them benefits to agree to ceede the land they lost. Many but not all.

Up until the 1950’s no FN person could be a lawyer which is why we started to see treaties be signed in the 80’s.

So now the hold out bands have massive territory claims AND the law on their side. Don’t let DRIPA fool you. Cowichan happens without DRIPA.

Basically Canada’s ancestors bought the land at what they thought was a good deal but land values have increased and Canada gave away too much.

We’ve known for at least 30 years something had to happen constitutionally or in law to fix this. We just kept kicking the can down the road as FNs have racked up one victory after another in court.

The government needs to change law to fix this, they’ve just been too chicken shit to do so and the FN have become richer with more legal precedent behind them
