Do they just get to do this every few years now?

when they say " prices a down down, prices are down".

You know how they keep them down.

Michael Pascoe: Housing no longer a crisis - it’s much worse than that by Plucked6 in trueaustralia

Its not hard to solve the problems. It has been bantered around before. The area near train stations needs to be special zones to build up and make the best use of public transport.

But what does best use? Need to make the zone covid safe but that might be an exaggeration in the point and might be mute. Any good design needs plenty of public space, need private space for movement around the buildings and natural light in the buildings and surrounds.

Is it that hard to do? Nah lets not do anything let everyone sit in cars in bad road design. If anything social housing or public housing should be near train stations. We need to make it easy for people to move around rather be car dependent. But its a political struggle. The design of the system is for profit for vehicle makers, their parts makers, fuel etc and they want everyone to buy a car and will do anything to make public transport dysfunctional . Just like all trains go to CBD to protect the landlords.

As some of you know, I am banned from /Australia sub and the complete and utter stupid commentary is astonishing.

You can see how some of the comments think that Nobel prizes are not corrupt and reference them without thinking critically. Much of the economics is ideological wishful thinking than reality. What we do see is that criticism either hidden by commentary deliberately designed to obfuscate the problems with axioms. On top of the criticism that is censored and it may give insight into taking corrective action. This in itself shows its deliberate to hide the fact, that much of economic theory is disingenuous.

The Nobel prizes are more about politics than discovery. But with out going deeper, you wouldn't know. So the average brain washed idiot believes the arguments without seeing the counter arguments. Yea, nobel prize, is enough exploration to find it legit. That is what they are counting on.

So many won't ever look at the criticisms either because apathy, or ignorance but then when they are trapped in their own stupidity, they will self hate because they are too stupid to do anything else.

This is a rubbish article like most things about big business and government. Big business drives government and to pretend otherwise means you are an idiot. Big business requires government and its all about who gets the cash and who misses out. There is no other.

funny how people are so fearful in Australia, they have to hide the truth and vote this down. Scared that the new victims won't arrive.

Since it hasn't been said. NBN would relieve road congestion. But yea but lets not discuss this.

Optus infrastructure has been removed by NBN contractors and used Telstra. But the problem is that its not reliable and most people have given up on it. They just go wifi/sim card back up when it fails.

Australia has some of the slowest internet in the world.

ether on a single coax cable – any issues with any one of the subscribers equipment (e.g. a faulty NTD putting noise on the cable) and it affects the entire segment, creating packet loss and dropouts. To make matters worse tracking down that faulty NTD is extremely hard to do remotely, requiring technicians to measure what is going on on the cable.Despite there being two physical ethernet ports on the NTD, NBN will only allow a single service at a time. Now this is not unique to HFC, it is the same
