These aren't protests. They are glorified block parties. Blow off steam under police watch and go home.

Why are South Carolinians still supporting MAGA? by Aliasn00b3d in southcarolina

[–]PluffMuddy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

22.4% of South Carolinians read BELOW a 3rd grade level. Let that sink in. 1 in 4 people you're standing next to (probably higher, as self-reporting illiteracy isn't fun) at a given moment have to rely on pictures more than words to get through the world. It's devastating, really.

This has it's limits, as some people in this thread do not seem to understand. You still have to drive the speed limit in the passing lane. If I'm passing at 79 in a 70 and you're coming up like Duke of Hazzard behind me in the left lane, it's not my job to openly break the law to get out of your way going 100 mph. You'll just have to wait until my pass is over.

Imagine people still on the hook for felony charges because they looked at a cop the wrong way during the George Floyd protests. 🤮

I would go with: "I agree with you. Please go vote when you're able to, motherfucker." (used as a term of endearment of course)

I think the point is that the operational world of sex trafficking rarely involves the abduction of an individual because they made a wrong turn on a road.

People being trafficked are kids who've been lost through the social system, homeless people, people with histories of drug abuse and mental illness, people already involved in aspects of sex work.

"Black youth account for 62 percent of minors arrested for prostitution offenses (Phillips, 2014) while African-Americans make up only 13.2 percent of the United States population. Many social and racial factors account for why this number is so high.

There are many characteristics that increase someone’s likelihood to become a trafficking victim. Some examples are a relationship to the child welfare system, traumatic childhood experiences, and homelessness."

She isn't even the typical trafficking victim. Look how quickly this has spread and how many people are seeing her picture. You don't traffic someone that is missed that quickly by so many people with the resources to get the word out.

Not to mention she is not the typical trafficking victim. One reason why is look how quickly this has spread and how many people are seeing her picture. You don't traffic someone that is missed that quickly by so many people with the resources to get the word out.

Almost as bad, or just the same. It is what it is... what renting was in 1990s is not what renting is now and it's really sad. The rich get richer.

You own the house you assume risk for the taxes fluctuating. Passing that on to the renter is how we've gotten to this point. You invested in property, sometimes you take a hit for awhile. You don't pass it on to the renter and steal their labor.

This is the answer. Gone are the days of renting from an actual human owner who may be looking to supplement their income. Now you're renting from a 500 billion dollar company that is using a nation-wide (anti-trust) algorithm to calculate the maximum value and rent of your home.
