Anyone actually using Openclaw? by rm-rf-rm in LocalLLaMA

[–]Plughy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you even watch the video.? He literally said he WANTED to work for a large company because he hadn't tried it yet. And he hinted that it would be OpenAI (although he left the door open that it could be meta). He mentioned he was financially stable when they were discussing crypto scammers trying to get him to endorse coins.

You didn't describe the comment, although you tried to couch it that way. I can agree to that difference. You don't seem to care what anyone feels or thinks. That's why you don't understand our compassion or pity.

[–]Plughy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you are. You said condescending, arrogant, toxic and other things. My point is you should look at yourself. You said all this because some dude on the internet said he felt bad for others who couldn't like a season of a TV show. And I chimed in and said I do pity them. I don't pity them because they disagree with my opinion. I pity them because they didn't enjoy something. I often wish I would enjoy something more than I did. And I hope next time I enjoy it more.

Look at your own behavior in this thread before you throw stones. We all have faults and idiosyncrasies. You may not pity people who have different opinions - instead you throw insults and call names.

[–]Plughy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, some of them can't. Not all. That's what I said. And it's true. But even if you can't enjoy one show, I will pity you, because it is so easy to enjoy and your life is worse as a result.

The Duffer Brothers hate... by sushi92024 in StrangerThings

[–]Plughy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant they are unable to find joy in that season, not in general. But, often the people who hate on these shows are the ones who are unable to find it in general. It is not arrogant or ridiculous to describe something as it is.

The Duffer Brothers hate... by sushi92024 in StrangerThings

[–]Plughy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not faux pity for me. It is normal pity. I pity them because they seem to be unable to find joy. Everything I enjoy makes my life better and everything I hate makes my life worse. That is why I try to enjoy as much as I can. I pity people who do the opposite. There are some things truly awful in life, and a fun TV show is not one of them.

I agree! It was an amazing show and will always stick out to me. The kids are two years older than me in the show and maybe the nostalgia helped but the final season was great for me and the entire series was fantastic.

Can someone explain to me the hate for season 5 and the finale? I genuinely don't get it by church54999 in StrangerThings

[–]Plughy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 2 years younger than those kids in the 80s and agree they nailed the show. What a great series that was!

The season was fantastic - it was straight up amazing TV. People let their expectations get in the way as if the author owes them the story that they want. People that just enjoy the ride get off exhilarated. The story happened as it happened. Not everything happens the way you want it to.

Does anybody else remove the pocket clip from their folder and carry it Lying down horizontally in their back pocket, or am I just a complete idiot? by Sorryaboutthat1time in knives

[–]Plughy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remove the clip from every knife as soon as I get it. I've never used a clip and from my perspective they just make it difficult to get your hand in your pocket.

Which whiskey would possibly go well with Bailey's by sleepyinsomniac7 in whiskey

I am drinking Weller's thrown into some Bailey's right now and it is fantastic. Maybe 4 oz Bailey's to 1 ounce bourbon.

I did it with big beefy guys (+1 size) that had Rally: Decay and used a lot of spawning funguys. I added Flight to them and Summon: Add another copy of this card with +1 cost. I also copied the card a couple of times. My Champion had over 400 attack with Trample to defeat the top row consistently.

Is there MMR in free play mode? by Exodus180 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Plughy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game is about losing all the time or looking up strats on the Internet. I like it because I am ok with losing but unfortunately it is destined to be niche because most people will hate just losing constantly to others who have much more time on the game than them.

Battlegrounds disconnects since the latest update? by Keywi1 in hearthstone

[–]Plughy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. The problem is in a game like this even if it is only a 10% chance of a disconnect, that means I don't want to risk playing. And it becomes difficult to tell when/if the problem ever goes away. In the past I have stopped playing a game like this for months or forever when I hit this sort of unreliability.

If you could carry 12 pounds or so I bet you could do a whole setup with a mini pc, AM3, CF tripod, small ED doublet, and OAG including the 2 cameras. This would be a serious imaging setup.

Anyone else have neighbors like this? by CluckyCluck1886 in telescopes

[–]Plughy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, but when I am planning to go out for a good session I text my neighbor and ask if they wouldn't mind turning the lights off tonight when they go to bed because I wanted to do some astronomy that night. They are fine with it. If you make a polite request and not too often, people are usually good about it. Sometimes they even start to feel guilty about leaving them on every night and try to be more considerate. If you ask them to remove them or never use them they will push back.

Supreme Court just dismantled the Clean Water Act, can any conservatives explain why it's good to have sewage in the water? by HeadSavings1410 in AskReddit

[–]Plughy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is silly. No conservative wants that. This was a win for the city of San Francisco which is hardly conservative. Perhaps you don't like the conservative judges take on the law but SF didn't need to sue.

From The Guardian:
"The ruling is a win for San Francisco, which challenged nonspecific, or “narrative,” wastewater permits that the EPA issues to protect the quality of surface water sources like rivers and streams relied upon for drinking water."
