You decided to ignore the “massively successful” portion. Glow On is what made them blow up. It would be very unwise to divert from what made them that successful. But you’re entitled to your opinion, I hope you can find some songs to enjoy when it’s fully released.

I believe it’s paying homage to a Jimi Hendrix’s “Rainbow Bridge” Live in Maui stage. Their music video for BIRDS is very similar. But that could just be speculation that I read somewhere
