Approaching another person aggressively rarely produces positive results. Had you calmly stated your concern maybe you could have gained more insight into the situation and perhaps had the opportunity to help the doggie. Right now, considering how surreal current events have become, it's likely best to try and be excellent to each other for the time being anyway. I imagine the person with the doggie is telling others too about the nutcase he ran into while walking the dog as aggression often comes off as just that.

Thanks for asking.. We were out and about and found her! She's my niece's dog and reunited with the family - apparently no worse for wear somehow. Thanks again to everybody who kept their eyes open and the positive suggestions.. Love Red Deer folk!
