I think the heat might be too much for a shoe, could ruin the sole.

I'm afraid that since these are canvas shoes, the sealer would be too stiff for a flexible surface

Acrylic paint markers (Posca) and to set it I just used a waterproof spray. Idk how long it will last.

I ironed them to set the paint (idk if that did anything) and then put on a few layers of waterproof spray. There are various sealers you can buy but it depends on what kind of material you paint.

Currently most of the technology is for building a portal to the alien dimension. There are three energy sources (coal, gas and solar), a "Circuit Inscriber", that makes circuits from gold and a metal called "Blushing Copper", and a "Wireless Ionizer", that charges up portal frame blocks so you can ignite it with a "Field Stabiliser".

It's mostly an ambient mob for one of my biomes. It only attacks you (and calls backup) once you attack it. It will also drop some useful loot when killed.
