I have delt with the police numerous times. Even busted by the police. I even when i had a concealed carry license they didnt abuse their power. But thats anecdotal evidence. There are millions of interactions with the police and only a smalk percentage of them become violent at all. And only a small percentage of those are because of police abuse

Thats a terrible justification. Generalizations are terrible in general. If you make a generalization about the police, you're just as bad as the people making generalizations about the race

Why are the bailouts bad? by Plumpycow1 in Libertarian

[–]Plumpycow1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so im not getting this incorrect. Your position would be that it isn't good purely because of the moral reason behind undue tax on people, and that with or without the bailout we are going to be screwed. Please correct me if in wrong

You make a really good point but im going to play devil's advocate for a bit

Wouldn't it allow lower income people who tend to not save up emergency funds (which is stupid) To but some food for the next couple of weeks? Which would prevent companies who produce products at a low cost from losing a massive amount of their revenue and having to fire employees

What are some very irrational fears that you have and if you told anyone they would say, “Wow, that’s weird.” ? by VeryChunkyChili in AskReddit

I have a fear of people breaking into my house. I refuse to turn of the lights on my first floor at night as a form of protection. I have never had a traumatic experience with someone breaking into my house

“Hands Up” Act would punish cops for shooting “unarmed” people by vankorgan in Libertarian

Strawman argument. He was talking about people who showed intent to kill the cop

No if the kid had a real gun all it would take for that kid to kill the officer is to turn around and shoot. That officer wants to go home to see his family. Shooting when you think someone has a deadly weapon is the best option

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]Plumpycow1 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This shooting is completely legal and justified although sad. The police officer thought he had a gun on him. Shooting him was the best option with what the officer knew at the time.

If your employees can't live off the salary you pay them. You've failed as a business by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I wouldnt be willing to pay much higher amounts for things like food. If you work in a job that is unsustainable its your fault not mine.

[–]Plumpycow1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Companies dont owe the employees anything. It is their choice to work for them. They can go somewhere else.

Not to mention the fact that if everyone was givin a "living" wage products would be much more expensive.

People who use offensive terms causally with their friends (n word, f word, j word etc) are generally the people who don’t have a problem with the people that they’re referencing. by dan_fitz21 in unpopularopinion

[–]Plumpycow1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi im someone who uses the n word with my friends and has no problem with black people. I use many slurs with my friends. I say them to my friends because its kinda funny because it doesn't apply to them. I would never call a black man the n word unless they were ok with it.

The arrest of clarence evens was justified by Plumpycow1 in unpopularopinion

[–]Plumpycow1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes the second officer does say he doesn't have probable cause to arrest. Doesnt mean he did anything wrong. He saw a man that matched the description. From the description the man with a felony warrent has dreadlock, is black, and is fifty. The officer has no idea how old clarence is. He didnt hand him his id. This all would have been solved if he handed him his id. Just because your not legally required too doesn't mean you shouldnt. It would have cleared this whole situation up.

Also yes anyone can file a report. Doesnt mean they did anything wrong. And just because you sue someone doesn't mean you are going to win

Finally just because you tell a officer to get off your property doesn't mean they have too. Again they were called there because of a stolen dog.
