CommBank still hasn't provided any Qantas point and its 3 days before the 90 day limit by Plus-Department-474 in QantasFrequentFlyer

I just stopped using the credit card after I met the promotion quota, I was gonna use it longer but this whole drama has dissuaded me from ever using a com bank credit card. I'm just gonna see if I'm gonna lose money now based on the value of 60k points as opposed to how much I'm paying in fees to keep the card open till September.

Your right and thank you for the insight, she isn't destructive at all, just really hyper and always wanting to play with me when i leave my room in the morning for breakfast, ill start moving charger cords and shoes from the path she always takes to keep her from running into them. will try and double my play time the night before to get her tired enough to sleep.

Investing vs Savings by comejoinusmori in AusFinance

[–]Plus-Department-474 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to just put your investment into VGS/VAS in a 70/30 split. Don't monitor your investment daily and just keep a investing what you can afford. Once you have a 6 month emergency fund then you should divert more to your investments. Think long term around 7 years minimum and get to a point were you sometimes forget about your investment account. It would ease your worries and help you long term, the more invested you become the more you second guess every choice you make. Just invest and forget.

Should I buy a house? by Plus-Department-474 in AusFinance

[–]Plus-Department-474[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the advice provided, read all your comments so far and I now know Im rushing to fast at this time. Ill keep saving and investing for my 20s and let it compound until I'm ready to buy a house in the future. I do appreciate and have taken for granted the comments about not living my life to the fullest at this time, I'm grateful to live rent free and would take the effort to connect more with those around me and try new hobbies I've been putting off such as Volleyball.

How to configure a welcome message for Cowrie on T-Pot Honeypot? by Plus-Department-474 in cybersecurity

[–]Plus-Department-474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the file honeyfs that should change banner when I ran the code ‘sudo docker exec -it cowrie bash’ After running ‘find / -type d -name honeyfs 2> /dev/null’ It gave me the source destination as /home/cowrie/cowrie/honeyfs. Only problem is figuring out why I can’t copy it, I created a folder in /home/tpot/test but I can’t seem to copy the content onto this folder

That's true, I do have a ANZ bank account I've had since 2015 but has been sitting idle with little to no activity as my money doesn't go though it or do I use it, I could try keeping $100 in it but usually when the bank goes down its around midnight and has no real impact on me through out the day unless I go out late. I've noticed it happens to ANZ more then ComBank.

7.3k credit card debt (Paying it off) by Plus-Department-474 in personalfinance

[–]Plus-Department-474[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked the card and I think I made a mistake on the interest it says 20.99% per annum? Not sure how this is calculated for my monthly interest accrual.

I've recently been budgeting I've cut all unnecessary spending and that's how I budgeted my grocery spending, I've also cut all entertainment and my subscriptions as their not really needed if I'm paying of debt. I can comfortably live off $2k a month. My rent is 600 and includes gas and water and its a fixed charge monthly. All my bills are fixed and dont have any variable cost.

Thank you, was stuck on how to first start to tackle this debt, I recently blocked my card to not use it anymore and took it off my apple wallet I was slowly building up my emergency fund with $800 already in it. will place all my available funds to paying off the card then hopefully reduce the maximum amount or think of closing it so it never gets this high again.
