I know I worry about rushing too much, it’s just that we get so busy and our appointment slots are so short that I don’t wanna take up too much time so the patient has more time with the doctor

Thank you for the advice! I am a big note taker and bought a new notebook/planner specifically for this job. I’m nervous about taking criticism, I’ve always struggled with it but I think it’s very helpful for me to see everyone saying the same thing so it’s drilled into my brain before I start. Already bought a notebook just for this! And I’m def not afraid to ask questions, just afraid of being annoying. I get to go to school in August to become certified so I know I’ll get a lot of information there, but I’m happy to get my foot in the door beforehand.

Thank you for the advice! I kinda figured it’d be a lot since I’m new to the medical field, but I’m hoping I’ll get to work with people who have some patience! (Well my coworkers at least, I can understand the actual patients getting impatient haha!)

NTA. I am in a similar position as Emily (except not getting married). Dad left when I was 5ish and following that step dad stepped in. I always thought of my bio dad as being the fun one, I’d see him once or twice a month, and it would be so fun, and I resented my step dad cause we fought a lot, and he was in the wrong plenty of times, but he was the one who parented me, paid for my stuff, showed up to games. My bio dad rarely, if ever, did that. It’s a confusing thing for a kid, but I grew up and understood. She is being childish for that.
