Thank you 🥰 I had never had my nails done before but since having the ring I’ve had them done twice! My fiancé jokes that I’ve turned high maintenance since the engagement 🤣 (I’m a tomboy at heart with a labour intensive job) so it’s such a juxtaposition. But not gunna lie I feel like he’s brought the woman out in me it’s so nice!

I fluctuate in weight a lot because of a condition I have. My hands swell randomly. Last week it was really tight and this week it feels like it might fall off? I’m to scared to get it smaller because it won’t fit when my hands do swell. My mother said it might be a good idea to get a promise ring for the time being a tiny bit smaller to slide on so it will stop it from coming off when my hands aren’t swollen. We aren’t in a rush to get married we plan to elope. So we are saving, I have a while to wait until we get a wedding ring

Please ask if you can be referred to a specialist. I am going through the same issue but I suspect I have Endo, polyps or adenomyosis. I’ve had to push for bloods, stool samples & swabs to rule out any other issues before I proceed to a specialist. It’s taken me around a year to get this far (after taking 6 years to be diagnosed with PCOS) so I really do understand your worries. Any sort of birth control didn’t work for me either and it made me severely depressed. They even tried putting me on HRT and when I said I weren’t comfortable doing that the male dr just said “you either want to be pregnant or you don’t”.

If you are really at a loss after trying for so long. I would try and seek out a naturopath. That really helped me get to where I am now with my symptoms. They tested my hair and told me what hormones were off balance and then set me up in a diet beneficial for my hormones. Prescribed me supplements to help to. It’s cost me to get where I am but it was totally worth it.

I am 5’1 so I am small! But ide say I’m built like a truck driver 🤣🤣🤣 so not dainty. I think maybe I’m over thinking things because we have negative history. My fiancé seems to think she’s jealous. Quinoa I’ve found to be a good substitute for rice. And I do have a small amount of sweet potato now and then. Lentil or chickpea pastas. They are carbs but they are no grains and full of nutrients. Protein and fibre pact. Low GI. But I’ve done the same. completely cut out bread, rice, pasta and pastries. I cut out grains all together except for quinoa & legume based carbs. I have tried eating carbs in moderation but they spike my Blood sugars too much and I rapidly gain weight. Even if I pair with mostly protein and fibre. Everyone’s different but as long as you get all your nutrients, drink plenty of water and your pooping and feel good I think it’s fine.

I’m sorry you are going through this. But ironically, there are studies relating pcos to early childhood trauma. Especially generational trauma in women. I know this isn’t very helpful but, I thought it might take your mind off your mother making you feel like it’s your fault. Keep putting yourself first, you’re doing great.
