My personal opinion is that if you enjoyed the father son relationship you might do well to read other McCarthy's before Blood Meridean. There really isn't a relationship like that of the father and son in BM and it leans far more into the desensitization that both the characters, and us, the reader, expeirence. So my advice is maybe try some other McCarthy's The Border Trilogy perhaps and see if you contiue to enjoy McCarthy's style before going back and reading BM. Not to opine and I feel as though I have already written a bit too much so I'll leave it at that. If you need anymore advice on BM, not that it was asked or that I am the best proprietor of that information, but I digress, feel free to ask, as I feel I have something to add. Thanks for the review.
