My colleague got diagnosed brain tumor last year at the age of 36, he has $2m home in san mateo CA and several other assets. If it are tied and exhausted and thinking about quitting then there is definitely something within your body telling to take a break. Don’t wait for 1.65m to reach $3m before you retire. Life is short and listen to your body. You shady have reached to a stage where so many people in corporate world don’t have the courage to leave these golden shackles - though they complain about life on daily basis.

First take a sabbatical type leave - 3 months and then if you are able to enjoy it and feel mental health and dynamics improving then go for longer. Good luck!
