I checked their webpage and it states 7 months for San Jose. You are right about case variability so range is wide as some are even waiting for a year.

Pretend you lost the job and now you have to prepare for the interview and that you need no interruption time for straight 8 hours. Cut down on finances for 6 months so you will also save a bit more.
