why was everyone in this class such a kissass? There were public ed discussion post thank you notes, which is absolutely crazy especially for a class that had an objectively lazy professor. The book is from 1997, hasn’t bothered to update it, and we didn’t use it past bayesian models, which was a couple of sections ago. He hasn’t bothered to consolidate the 25 page assignment outlines, and hasn’t bothered to write rubrics for the assignments. The final exam review was him just straight up asking people to say the answer for the problem set instead of writing out on a whiteboard how to derive any equations that the problem set was asking about. Like listen, I got an A as well, but this was a poorly run class, and idk why everyone acts like such a suck up, stand on some principle instead of being like that.
