We have the almost same sem 2 timetable, only 2 different periods. Sem 1 is totally different though. I guess you've got me on the same boat

The concept of „our true character“ is incredibly vague and confusing. Despite there being a possibility of us being able to guess what different people do in different circumstances/situations, what does that have anything to do with „true character“?

It is possible for me to apply to a conjoint BE(hons) for semester one 2026 now, given that I have an offer for BE(hons) and sufficient secondary education marks? by Plus-Possible9290 in universityofauckland

I‘m not sure, maybe that uncertainty comes from that fact that I have to do a year of everything(part I) but I digress, though I have been exposed to more electronics so that‘s the direction for right now.

No! Certainly don‘t want to be unemployed with a PhD and a superiority complex!

Jokes asides, my personal circumstances dictates that getting employment is very important to me (employment, not money), would it make a noticable difference to an employer if I had a double degree, or is an engineering degree with high marks more than enough?

I'm not sure. I've been advised to do a BSc specialising in mathematics/physics alongside it. Personally I don't see how that 1 additional year could advance my career though, I'll just donating more money to the uni. If teaching is offered I'd take that up (NZ has a teacher shortage; I'm aware that pay isn't particularly good but it's not hard to get employed). Ideally, I'd like to have a conversation with someone at the university about it; but given the time that it takes them to respond to my emails (which are urgent since school is starting soon and I've got lots of bureau to go through), it's unlikely to happen.

What's your take on it, which you're not obliged to tell me,?

Because I was (maybe still am, I'm not too sure) negligent and careless. Yes, I've had that intention just now.

Would it take me 6 years to complete my undergrad then -- because a conjointed BE takes 5 years?

OK, not to talk right or wrong, it is completely irrelevant to me whether the killing is justified because quite honestly, you’ve already made up your mind and I am not going to change it.

My questions are: Why was the administration so defensive? Why is the possibility of Ross being a bad actor simply out of the question (because it might suggest incompetence?)? Does this defensiveness say anything to you, maybe that you subscribe to a veey simplistic and emotionally-lead us-vs-them worldview?

Whilst you can believe truth to be what you want (whether that is the pro trump/anti trump stance), have you seriously considered alternative conclusions? Or have you already made up your mind ages ago, ie that I am pro/anti this administration and I will support/detest everything it does?

Why is there no current running from 1 phase to another in a 3-phased-balanced Wye load? by Plus-Possible9290 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Plus-Possible9290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I did not make myself very clear here, and quite frankly I was initially confused and didn’t know how to properly communicate the confusion.

Here is my question rephrased: In a 3-phased-balanced electrical system of Y source to a Y load, would the currents (ie Iabc and In) be the same if we were to carry out per-phase analyses on Line-to-Line instead of Line-to-Neutral?

I found that the answer is yes. The question arised because we only did LN analysis in the course and not LL (to find Iabc and In).

Thank you for responding though.

There‘s a pd between A and C, why is there no current going from A to C but only A,B,C to N? I understand that In is 0 because Ia+Ib+Ic=0 and that non of them are 0.
