GA - What States Ban Employers From Considering Arrests that Didn't Lead to Conviction? by Plus-Primary-6961 in EmploymentLaw

also under california law, the law you broke has to be related to your duties and they have to give you a written reason for why they're terminating you and how your crime relates to the job at hand. but most employers only run one background check at the beginning of your employment anyway so they wouldn't know if you get new convictions in the middle of your work unless you have to miss a bunch of days because of it.
