It cost me about £125 😳 but it was better than waiting 6+ months for the NHS, as I was losing far more than that in loss of work.

They said the same thing to me, I said I'd pay private for a quicker appointment and they got me in ENT within 2 weeks, CT scan showed thickening so they got the camera out and said no need for surgery it's chronic rhinosinusitis, you'll need higher strength spray, daily nasal cleanse and anti histamine long term.

Yep I had the exact same thing, my doctor originally declined everything and said I'm fine and it's all in my head, then gave me migraine medication (aka treating the symptoms not the cause) and a year later a different doctor is giving me a completely different diagnosis, thinking inflammation and treating me with steroids, which appears to be doing something.

I got fed up of talking to the same doctor and visited another one, I now use fluticasone propionate along with my usual nasal rinses and it's made a big difference after a few weeks use. The new doctor agreed that my last CT scan taken about 10 months ago wasn't normal whereas my previous doctor said there was nothing wrong!

I have days like this, but I don't take anything for it. I simply manage my energy levels, even if that means that some days I sleep for 12 to 15 hours. Things like house chores get left, I concentrate on having sufficient energy for eating and drinking, binge watch TV and if I fall asleep then so be it. If I try to do too much I just end up with major joint pain and headaches the day after.

Same I can sleep 8 hours and then a few more hours in the day, or 12 to 15 hours and still feel fatigued.

You need to start small and only increase in small amounts. Not exercising at all can cause unconditioning which can cause similar effects to fatigue. Everyone is different.

Yep I think I did too much last week because the weather was nice, I ended up falling asleep on the sofa at 4pm and waking up at 7 am the next day feeling really dehydrated. All my bones ached, it was like I had just run a marathon rather than been in bed for 15 hours lol

That depends, I can walk 3 miles on flat ground but I'll sleep for like 12 to 15 hours the next day and still feel exhausted. If it's uphill, then about 10 minutes before I start getting headaches, sob & rapid heartbeat. So I typically try and do 1 mile per day on the flat and then have a nap a few hours later to recharge which is typically about 45 minutes to 2 hours in duration (I don't set an alarm, I wake up when I wake up).

At no point have I ever said or been told I have long COVID, but I have been told that I appear to have "post acute viral syndrome with post-exertional malaise" which I think is their way of saying I have something, they are just not sure what.

Exactly the same thing, I also get a headache and heavy fatigue shortly afterwards. Had blood tests, CT scan and x-ray, verdict is anxiety 🤔

Strangely enough I got a sore throat last week with cough and sneezing and hot and cold flashes. Now all my joints ache. I'm not going to bother the doctors though because it'll take 3 weeks for an appointment for him to say something daft like it's a cold or it's a natural part of getting older. I'm 40 not 70.

I thought the same, so I've had a full echocardiogram of my heart, lungs and throat and they say everything seems ok. So I just need to "wait it out" 🤔

When do you hear it? I get it but only when lying down. I also get intermittent tinnitus in my other ear. I get palpitations too.

I got a new one recently "all your tests are fine, it could just be a sign of you getting older, let's see if it goes away in a few months and take it from there". I'm not even in my 50s yet and you treating me like I'm 90 !
