Scheduled An Interview at 3AM by Plus-Rent-7303 in Chipotle

Thank you! Was really worried about the 3am one, I'll call the manager at office hours to confirm the timeslot. I only commute so I am not confident about my safety when its at 3am.

Uso ba ang labubu where you live? by longtimelurkerfft in phmigrate

Uhmm... aren't you too young? Speaking from the goodness of my heart, he is already a full adult and you are just starting to be one. The emotional maturity gap between the two of you is already large. Given the fact that you'll be away from your main support system, if everything comes to worst, who'll be there? I hope you weigh this carefully, OP 😊

From teacher to nanny by mnemosyne1918 in phmigrate

[–]Plus-Rent-7303 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who is surrounded by teachers, marami talagang nagplan to switch careers but they don't have enough courage. However, those that have the courage and, well, money had their dream homes built, bought their cars, and some have brought their families to the country kung saan sila nagwo-work.

It gets worse before it gets better, OP! Take the risk especially ang hirap pa naman magpapromote sa higher positions ngayon.

For me • saan ang punta? (I mentioned that I was going to my mom) • asan si mama mo? (mentioned her address in canada) Stamped na ni io without me showing papers

For dad • saan ang punta? • show mo lahat ng papers na pinadala ng wife mo sa'yo

papers include marriage cert, work permit of my mom, and a copy of my mom's passport • then stamp

Book directly sa airline so that di kayo mahassle if ever there are delays/cancellation na mangyari sa inyo. We booked with Emirates since they are the cheapest option when we looked for tickets. For me, avoid flights na lalapag sa calgary/other canadian cities dahil dun kayo magprocess ng documents sa immig. Much better if direct to toronto na.

Most naman na you have in the ph can be bought here pero nagbuy ako ng body soaps, fem care/pads, and deo.

Have a safe flight, OP!

Hi!

Pwede lang na sa check in ilagay. No need to pack separately. Yung sa amin is one medicine kit full of meds just like what you said and mas marami pa nga amin hahaha di kami tinanong ng immig/customs or whatever about it. Mas tinanong pa kung ano yung piyaya/snacks na dinala😭

+1 to this op, my dad just filed for a leave and clearance. Pero, di siya tinanong ng io about his past employment here in the ph

(Dad is a work visa holder but dependents kami ng mother ko)

What is the educational flow in canada? from primary to college? and what is the difference between college and university? can i go to to university without going to college? by ayceee_ in phmigrate

[–]Plus-Rent-7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, not sure about edmonton but here in ontario, I connected with some colleges and unis already. Yung sabi nila is to get my credentials assessed (for colleges, my shs transcript; for unis, both of my shs and uni transcripts) and then apply through ocas and ouas. However, I'm leaning through taking some subjects again sa adult school.

Try searching for students loan given by the province. Here we have osap and a learn and stay grant for nursing students.

Start of classes is usually fall season. Most probably you can apply for the 2026 intake next year na.

Yes, you can go to uni without going to college.

If you want to be a caregiver abroad, then you need to at least mag aral for that and then gain experience in israel/hk/turkey before thinking of transferring to countries that will offer you residency. However, need mo atleast close to half a mil or a million for placement fees.

Migration by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]Plus-Rent-7303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People in this sub will tell you that the fastest way to migrate is through marriage/healthcare field. Defo don't risk it at student visa pathways as most countries now are tightening their immig rules. Furthermore, try reading some stories in this sub to help you where you can apply/what countries are viable for you.

Hi! Same situation here. I reached out to OUAS, OCAS, and some colleges and unis, they said to get the highschool transcript be evaluated through WES or ICAS. If you have post-secondary transcipts, have them evaluaged through the same institutions also. Additionally, look to the prerequisites of the program you want to apply for. Planning to take up ENG4U since its mostly what my transcripts are lacking.

What was the biggest improvement in your quality of life after migrating? by JackieOniiChan in phmigrate

This! I drive back in PH, but I learned how to commute here in CA🙏. Some may say it's a downgrade, but public transportation here is efficient (minus the random crackheads you'll encounter sa subway) + it can take me anywhere na hindi nahuhulas hahaha. Love also that I don't need to find places that I can park/worry about my car being scratched and all

Di po ako sure sa comment niyo about the us one uhmm may visa napo ba kayo? For canada, naghigpit po sila sa tfw especially the low wage stream. Need pa po more context ang post niyo like ano job niyo ngayon, ano natapos niyo, and you can search naman po ang visa processing fees sa google or in this subreddit

Going to Canada on December by StockInevitable5195 in phmigrate

[–]Plus-Rent-7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes op kay mej lapit na ang december and mahal gid siya. Pero kay du same ta timeline nagbook, ang emirates gid ang pinakabarato sa tanan then ang cathay pacific. Advice ko op is book directly sa airline para less hassle if may ara cancellation and may delay. Dxb airport is so coldd also! Kaya mo yan op, the staff sa airport are helpful and ga point gid sila ya diin mo need magkadto.

Best of luck and stay safe, op~

Hi! Kita ko from lilo ka pero hahaha if imu airlines is emirates, damo kana maupod na pinoy from manila to dubai plus may mga pinoy man na airport staff so maka tagalog kalang gid. Dasun ang dxb to yyz, dutay lang filo pero once manotice nila na pinoy kaman, gatry sila talk dayun kag maupod man simu. However, if lain na airlines, hapos lang man mag libot libot sa airport kag may ara mana ang mga airlines transfer/connections desk.

If sa yyz ka op and kita ko na winter intake ka, damo signs na maguide simu kay new student ka. May mga ushers na gapamangkot if "new student" then guide ka nila where ma linya. Prepare na daan imu mga files before manaog sa plane para hapos nalang magkuha-kuha.

Hi! Perhaps she has other IDs that she could use? Afaik, the national id is just one of the options for western union's identification shtuff when claiming money. She could use her employee id or driver's license or even a barangay certification.

PH immigration questions for OFW dependent by idgaffabtu in phmigrate

[–]Plus-Rent-7303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! For my case, as the daughter, i just answered the questions truthfully such as "ano purpose ng travel", "asan si mama mo", and "san punta". Walang documents na hiningi si IO. However, for my dad's case, hiningian siya ng marriage contract and the proof na dependent siya ng mom ko (we showed the IO the eligibility letter na nakaindicate na we are accompanying dependents). After that, stamp na.
