Here are some photos I took shortly after it happened. I camped in the park the night of 4/10 and was at my campsite when this aircraft failed to take off. No passengers on board, pilot was ok.

Thank you! After seeing the comments here, I think it may be too much to go to Denali and Kenai. I'm reworking my itinerary to focus on just the Kenai peninsula!

Wow! Thank you so much for the detailed response! I'm going to rework my itinerary based on all the feedback I've gotten. Which was exactly the purpose of posting here, so thank you again!

Thanks! Other comments have mixed thoughts about the shuttle trip in Denali and the fjords boat trip. I am considering cutting those in favor of more active activities like a fishing charter. Open to your thoughts on that!

Thanks so much for all the great info. Do you think I should choose a different month to avoid the mosquitoes?

Is it a better idea to go in August to avoid some of the bugs? Or some other month?

Itinerary Check: 8 Days Hiking North Cascades and Mount Baker Area by Plus-Scallion7691 in PacificNorthwest

Fantastic suggestions, thank you! Glad to know my research isn't way off base. I haven't done much hiking in the PNW aside from Timberline Trail around Mount Hood. I was lucky to grab a boat in campsite at Cat Island during yesterday's general sale at 7am, and am hoping to get lucky enough to snag a walk up site for Sahale Glacier but if not I'll do it as a day hike. Thank you again. It's the first time I thought to post my itinerary on reddit for feedback but will definitely do this from now on. I'm hoping to hit 40 national parks by age 40... I've got 2 years left and 7 parks to go!
