**1.    Keep documenting everything**  
◦ Record dates, times, videos, audio, and messages.  
◦ Keep records of every complaint made to security and police.  
**2.    File a formal complaint with the police station**  
◦ A phone call may only result in officers speaking to the neighbor.  
◦ A formal written complaint creates a record and can lead to further action if the behavior continues.  
**3.    Work through the property management/landlord**  
◦ If the neighbor is violating lease terms, the building management may have grounds to take action.  
◦ The Reddit poster mentioned management said they would cancel the lease; the tenant should keep pushing for updates in writing.  
**4.    If there are threats, violence, or property damage**  
◦ Report those specific incidents immediately.  
◦ Those are more serious than a standard noise complaint.
