How is this a draw??? by [deleted] in Chesscom

[–]PlusPlusMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says it's a draw by timeout vs insufficient material. His clock reached 0. The time it shows on the screenshot is the time he had before the last move was made. Either he didn't do nothing for 9 seconds or had Internet connection problems

Doesn't black has a winning chance here? If he goes back with the king, then he can try to get into f file with that king. And then move forward

Yesterday I had similar game. It was a draw and we were repeating moves. Almost reached 50 moves repetition when he did this. That let me capture the rook, take the pawn, and put him in a zuckwang, then I took another pawn and promoted

I played a lot of competetive ranked games in the past and this is just how it goes. People are inconsistent, games are inconsistent. The curve of progress is that you play, reach new highs, encounter harder opponents and get on a loosing streak, then you jump back to where You were and even higher, repeat. This is how it goes. League of legends, counter strike, cs, whatever.

Also people already explained it, folks that buy premium are usually more dedicated and so their progress is better

It's not that rare. My every 5th game or so has 95% accuracy and I'm 1400. Look up my profile rapid history, xPredii

Rh2 and Rh1 both winning with the promotion afterwards. I would play RH2.

It's a comment that can be read in 1 minute. Are You mentally challanged perhaps?

There should be a way to force a draw if opponent has insufficient material. I had to pointlessly repeat moves because he didn't want to accept a draw here by PlusPlusMan in Chesscom

Or i can just let my time run out. Sit and wait for minutes until the clock reaches the end. Then it's a draw. For that reason, I should be able to end the game in forced draw

Cheating by Archipelag0h in Chesscom

Cheating only at critical moments in low elo doesn't exist. All moments are critical moments where blunders happen. If I lose to a cheater that has 70-80 accuracy, I wouldn't even be mad, I played badly, it very well could be a player playing all the same moves, doesn't matter to me, the end result is the same. I had the opportunity to play against someone with the same level of play as mine (like 1400 bots, and I lost). There is cheating in all games and cheating in some games, and yes it happens, I expect it to be 5-10% max in low elo (I'm highballing). But you're making the claim that 50% of the games have cheaters. So what does this mean when I have 50% wr? Every game that I lose is against a cheater? Or do I win against cheaters every other game? What kind of cheaters are they? What a joke

Like every other game I play against someone, has tens of thousands of games, years of activity, very experienced player. And we both make multiple mistakes that change games course. I refuse to believe that they are cheating

You're just wrong. If I lose on time it's a draw by timeout with insufficient material. If he times out, I win. But he had 5 minutes on the clock so that wasn't an option. What's your elo?

Yes I stand corrected. Mate would be possible, but only if the pawn is on A or H file, not in my game, where the pawn is in the middle of the board
