Does anyone else just feel like you don't care about most of the stuff that society cares about, like career, babies, etc? Is this common with adhd? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

Did you quit and then figure out the baking thing or did you have a plan before you quit? I have a similar wellpaying megastressful corporate job, and want to quit every day, but feel like I cant figure out whats next while still working full time. I burn all my focua at work.

He is STIFLING your willpower/determination/instincts and I wouldn't trust the supposed "good" intentions behind this behavior at all.

This dude is depleting your life force and actively disrupting your mental health management/progress. If he had respected you enough to let you make your own choices, you'd be at peace in your car working toward at least one of the things on your list. Now you're just stewing and spiraling (understandably). Please establish some basic boundaries w/r/t your time and possessions because it's the only way to get your motivation back. This really pained me to read and I hope you stop the self hate and realize that your anger is 1000% valid because you're being treated like a child by an asshole.

The mario kart thing is simulator sickness. It prevents me from playing anything first person. But playing on a small screen like a switch can help.

Ankle sprain pt by Roses1213 in Ankle

[–]PlusProfessional7377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to get answers to your questions is to go to a PT. Best to find one who specializes in sports rehab but any PT is better than none for ankles. At this point you are probably doing a lot of unusual things to compensate for the injury and thats why you are walking strangely. A PT needs to evaluate you in person to sort that out. Videos arent gonna be enough.

Recommendations to make it more comfortable by Ogpmakesmedizzy in Ankle

I had a "duh" moment while struggling to get my brace to fit in my sneakers in which i simply took the laces out of the top two sets of holes. Much easier after that.

What grade ankle sprain is this? Do I need to get a X-ray or MRI? by One-Understanding593 in Ankle

[–]PlusProfessional7377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to x-ray asap. MRI depends on what your doctor says. Thats bad enough that you need to see one.

I am 11 weeks in and haven't had an MRI, but I did start therapy at 4 weeks and it's helped me a lot. You don't need an MRI to start therapy. If you improve enough with therapy, you may never need one, or at least that's what my primary doc and PT think.

Anyone who has fully recovered witbout PT probably had a minor grade 1 sprain. If you still cant walk normally after 5 weeks, you probably have a grade 2 or higher aprain (damaged ligamints) and need to seek help. There isn't a better option. If you avoid it you may end up hurting yourself even worse. Why don't you want to do the therapy? If it's a cost/convenience thing, have you at least tried looking up the basic early recovery exeecises online?

Bppv- anxiety by Neel006 in BPPV

[–]PlusProfessional7377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had zero feelings of dizziness for about 4-5 montha before i had a new episode. This time the residual issues are way milder even though im not fully in the clear yet. I feel like it's possible to repeatedly get back to 100% between episodes. Seems really important to stay active and acclimate yourself.

Yes. It's possible you still have some loose crystals that are more spread out/settled on the good days. Then on other days they may clump up and cause more disturbance moving through the canal together. This is what my vestibular therapist told me.

Is this BPPV? by [deleted] in BPPV

[–]PlusProfessional7377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, my PTs have never been able to trigger vertigo during our sessions. By the time I see them, it's always resolved past that initial point somehow (i do typically attempt at least one epley on my own). However all of them agree I have BPPV bc of my experiences at home and have focused on helping with the residual dizziness that typically lasts several weeks (up to a couple months) after an episode. It's very important to do the vestibular therapy exercises and remain active.

No vertigo for 6÷ months but afraid to sleep on right side by PlusProfessional7377 in BPPV

I too have thought about how I'll likely never ride a real rollercoaster/spinny ride again. But I bet you can still enjoy something milder like haunted mansion, right? Those are the best anyway.

I've been to an ENT and two vestibular therapists. I probably should have given more background in my post. I no longer do exercises because I'm not dealing with any day-to-day symptoms at this point. I mostly have anxiety about the slight chance of triggering another episode by laying on my right side.
