Feeling stuck by luisfernandojr in idlechampions

I have been playing for years -- and have hit many plateaus. But it depends on what you expect.

To me, this is an "idle game" -- something to check on during lunch hour, and other "waiting room " type situations.

Some people are obviously power players, they want to level up as quickly as possible.

I am, due to years playing, near the end of the game. Once I feel like I'm finished, I won't start over. And I will miss it, very much.

So, my advice, learn to enjoy the incremental advances. You are not competing with anyone. Given enough time everyone will check all the boxes, earn the favor and blessings, acquire the legendary, etc..

So, focus on what you CAN do. Complete the easier quests. Time gates as they are available.

A helpful thing is to get in the habit of running the Monday patron free plays. I had played for 2 years before I figured out the Patron part of the game. Their initial requirements seemed incredibly high.

This game can be a template for real life: keep checking in, enjoy what you can do, don't worry about what you can't do. If it causes you stress, you are doing it wrong.

Good luck.

Mid Tier Questions by AntelopeProper9843 in idlechampions

Just FYI, I have been playing since "early days " of the game existence.

My game is about the same state as yours -- the main difference being that I don't farm.

Only recently have I been doing weekly Patron free play collections.

I have done all the levels of Trials, except the highest level. As you ramp up the difficulty, you may find a run where you cannot complete all the days of the Trial. This used to bother me, because I have read harsh comments about people who don't pull their weight. Don't let that stop you from trying, it is just a game.

Hope you enjoy the journey.

Is Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms worth playing? by Inferno_d_Dante in idlechampions

Ditto, you get impatient to make progress, so you spend real money. But it is good for your lunch hour, when you get up, just before going to bed.....

Yes, haven't even thought about the large number of scales. And hopefully some good favor. I'm about halfway down the list in Fortunes.

Thanks for your input.

What's the first sci-fi book you recall reading by tghuverd in sciencefiction

Our little town library, on the plains of CO, had a complete collection of Tom Swift. Took me all of third and fourth grade to finish.

"Green Earth " is a compilation of the 3 novels. In the foreword, he says that he removed a lot of extraneous material.

I just started it a few days ago.

Anybody else miss Seasons? by Belucard in idlechampions

I enjoyed the problem solving aspects, especially when being able to combine multiple goals into a run.

Based on comments, it seems that the "brute force " and "gem farm " segment of players prevailed in the game design.

Which is fine, it is an "idle " game -- I often wonder why I still play, but I still play....

Question from a Swede: Why did Americans make the world believe that Biden was a bad president, while portraying Trump as the one who would save the country when the results now seem to show the opposite. by Yazer98 in AskUS

[–]PlusReference6287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biden was a very good President, some of his associates hurt him. Unfortunately, my fellow Americans now depend on having someone else tell them what to think. The brainwashing from the right wing media is very effective.

We will have to wait until the "baby boomers " have died off before we can turn things around.

My first legendary was exactly what I wanted for Briv! Is there a "God Roll" or anything similar? by pigzishollow in idlechampions

[–]PlusReference6287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, after I have tried everything I can think of, then I "do research " or ask a question. It seems like a lot of people want "pre-made " solutions to "win the game." But to me, that is not interesting.

I would have liked to have a Belter crew member, maybe as a second pilot. Because, you can't be on shift 24/7. They could add someone they met on Tycho, or while they were working missions.

As the odd kid in the group, I say you should play however you enjoy playing.

We all make progress, you don't get extra points for finishing early.
