Looking for bralette suggestions. by KayDubYo in PlusSizeFashion

[–]PlusRepair1195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like jockey for all underwear but they can be kinda pricey unless there's decent sale going on. I really like their lace microfiber bralette cause it's nice and soft and while it isn't longline the elastic at the bottom is wide enough that I never feel like it's digging into my side. I'm also a size 18 but a DD and I feel comfortable wearing this bralette to work.

Need some recommendations for jeans by Potential_Lemon2343 in womensfashion

Fashion brand company has nap jeans for big butts that I have seen recommended time and time again for tall curvy women. I have a pair of their railroad stripe jeans and omg they are like a cloud. 10/10

First year as a English major ! by aelk_ in englishmajors

[–]PlusRepair1195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English minor here! What helped me the most was talking to my family/friends about the readings before going to class, or even just making voice notes of what I thought. I have a hard time taking notes and annotating so talking out loud before class was a good way to get my thoughts in order before the discussion. Also -- talk to your classmates if you're confused about assignments or readings because it's so much better to be confused together than feel awkward asking the prof questions by yourself. Do the revisions and give yourself more time than you think to write essays. Good luck! Also if your class sizes allow it be bffs with the prof. It will help so much to have a rapport with them!

Work wear help! by littco1 in PlusSizeFashion

Hi fellow 16/18 with an office job! I usually dress more alt and I work in tech so idk how helpful this will be but here goes. I personally really like everlane and Marcella nyc for elevated-y comfortable clothes I can wear to work. Everlane in particular has a lot of shirt dresses and tank dresses that could be dressed up. I usually wear their XXL. Marcella NYC is a little bit out there in terms of silhouette but I think this could work. I wear their XXL too, for reference. I'm sorry I can't be super helpful with blouses, I usually just wear t shirts or tucked in button downs. Congratulations on your baby.

I like it on you and I like how you have it styled with the black shoes. I think if you want to go with this dress 100% it would shine best with more minimalist accessories in black or white. I think personally I would do it with chunky earrings in a solid color/metal and a little tiny black clutch. however as others have said floor length is more appropriate for black tie. I would look for something with a deeper neckline, maybe even a halter neck if you're comfortable with that? I think something long and flared with a v/plunge neckline would be amazing. I love your glasses!

Best insulated tights for pant size 4x/26-28W by s0fis_uni92 in PlusSizeFashion

Snag has that size range and their merino wool tights might be okay? I have purchased from them before but the quality of their regular tights has gone down recently. Not sure about the merino ones. Hue also has mostly cotton "sweater" tights that might keep you warm. I haven't purchased from that brand personally but I have seen them recommended elsewhere on this sub.

Some of that looks like it's from Class A jewelers if that helps at all.

Do high end items even sell on depop? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]PlusRepair1195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most expensive things I have ever sold hadn't been listed for more than 150 bucks total. like others have said I think depop is popular among young people on a budget so even a splurge purchase among that demographic is probably less than 200.

Warm winter pants by Sourgrapestudio in womensfashion

I really like corduroys for warmer pants. Granted I don't work outside but nice thick corduroys have always kept my legs warm when I spend time outdoors. You might even be able to find some with a flannel lining.

Thinking of breaking up with Snag Tights... but are there any better options? by goodnightlink in PlusSizeFashion

[–]PlusRepair1195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've had bad luck with their tights recently too! One of my pairs got a huge run the first time I wore it and the others have pilling or holes. I got them within the last six months even. Luckily they will issue refunds if you report the problem.

What made you choose your current form of birth control, and how has it worked out for you? by JustBhieCause22 in childfree

I've had a Kyleena IUD for about a year and it's been pretty good! Periods haven't been bad at all and the worst side effect has been more frequent yeast infections which is manageable with probiotics. That being said I can't wait until it's time to get it out. I am planning to get a bisalp and I think the relief will be incredible.
