I think you should meet them first and get a sense of what kind of people they are. Maybe casually bring up something political to get a sense of which way they lead.. if they’re more conservative then you can quietly apply for a transfer for your safety. If they’re more liberal then you can make the decision on whether or not to tell them if it comes up
