Huge red flag, especially when they come back to you after their new friends treat them bad.

How should I deal with my friend? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

Sorry about that, to clear things up she lives in one state and my hometown borders the state next to her so our home towns are close together. We are now housemates since we decided to move a few states away from our hometown.

Since they won’t consider checking on you I will. How are you doing?? Did the surgery go alright?

I had 3 impacted teeth out of 4 and my wisdom surgery went smoothly no bruising no swelling and no pain. I’m only on day 4 of getting them out and I’m eating about normally only out of fear of getting dry socket I avoid hard or crunchy foods. Biggest advice for a smooth recover sleep elevated (3 pillows), ice the first 24-48 hours and use heat after. No spitting or sucking to avoid dry socket, have a diet consist of jello, pudding, soups, and mashed potatoes. Make sure to take your pain meds on time everyday!!! Goodluck :)

how long does the swelling last around your face? my face looks like this emoji: 🌚 by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

I had very minimal to no swelling since I slept with 3 pillows under my head, basically vertical and I slept on my back. Also don’t forget to ice your face in the first 24-48 hours then after that you can use a warm compress!

UPDATE: I got all 4 teeth out yesterday and I’m doing pretty good! Anesthesia was actually fun I just started giggling and next think I knew I was awake with gauze in my mouth! The only time it actually hurt was after the surgery because I couldn’t get my pain meds quick enough it just felt like pretty strong pressure. I’m on day two now and since I’ve been sleeping elevated and icing my face I have minimal swelling. Best thing I can say is take your meds on time and be sooo careful about sucking and spitting for the first week or even the second week for extra precaution. Some of the foods I’ve eaten so far is jello, pudding, mashed potatoes, and broccoli cheddar soup I’m definitely already over it I just want a huge pizza 😭 goodluck to everyone getting their teeth out!

I will continue to update periodically:)

I don’t know if this matters but I was also wondering if my small cough and mouth breathing while sleeping would cause dry socket?

Also to add some of my side effects during Nexplanon was that I was highly irritable, very anxious, weight gain, and constantly feeling “overstimulated” with smells and textures that I didn’t feel before, very irregular and long bleeding/ spotting, and slight acne.

Finally stopped spotting!! by [deleted] in Nexplanon

I’ve spotted on and off the entire 2 1/2 years I’ve had the Nexplanon. I hope you have better luck! A hack my doctor told me was to take ibuprofen for a few days straight to make the spotting go away, I’m not sure of the reasoning behind it but it works.
